Make Orwell Fiction Again
Please, please, please let The Smiths never copy Oasis. No more of these 'nostalgia act' shows please.
By all accounts they should have 4Oasis don’t have the balls.
What I love about all of this, is that The Smiths are being talked about, like our Moz said very recently: ‘The Smiths do not end’
if Liam and Noel hate eachother as much as Morrissey and Marr anything can happen.
However It’d be extremely risky to rely on Morrissey showing up. Who knows.. with the right amount of money…
those haircuts are ridiculous,do these people not look in a mirror.
Will be interesting to see the prices for tixhotels in edinburgh have doubled or trebled their prices for the nights befor and after,£420 a night £54o,if you book now you may find a cheaper one, this info is from tomorrows daily record or as i call it the daily ranger.
anyone going to these shows are going to be fleeced, these no other way to say it.
Damn straight. In a way, I'm glad this is why the Smiths never reformed. If Morrissey and Marr did decide on a cash grab and announced a tour, I'd be unable to resist mortgaging my house to buy tickets for as many shows as I could, no matter how insane the Ticketmaster 'Platinum'-priced seats were.anyone going to these shows are going to be fleeced, these no other way to say it.
Now that would be worthwhile!
The promoters and Oasis are milking this!!
My wife is trying to talk me into it but I'm not keen as the first time was great and the 2 times after that were just ok.I can live with the expense but I don't know if I can bothered standing in a field surrounded by 80,000 people. You going?
I imagine Morrissey will have been boiling piss on seeing this picture taken a few months ago of Noel with Johnny, Mike and Billy Duffy together......So it's basically only happening because of an expensive divorce? Sounds a bit sad that.
I mean, I'm sure they will still be great, and I was a fan first time around. But it seems money really does make the world go round.
Noel has refused to entertain it for years and is suddenly in 'need' of money. Something tells me he could survive on what he has left.
Can't see Morrissey ever agreeing to supporting or joining them on stage. He's too much his own person, and I think he's learned the hard way where those things are concerned. So I can't see him wanting anything to do with Oasis mania.
Marr on the other hand...
Sad, left out, nostalgic, wondering what happened... yeah. Angry - why? Joyce aside, all of these people were Morrissey's friends once upon a time. It is stark, how Marr managed to maintain those friendships, keep on good terms with everybody from Joe Moss (RIP) to Stephen Street to Tim Booth, Duffy and a million others - whilst Morrissey, at best, let a lot of his old friends fade from view. Marr's extensive efforts to keep his ties do give me hope that they will make amends. He was Marr's best friend, best man at his wedding, co-writer, everything. Pretty sure I'd swap out the singer from James to have Moz.I imagine Morrissey will have been boiling piss on seeing this picture taken a few months ago of Noel with Johnny, Mike and Billy Duffy together......
