would M be a support act was the question.10 pages in and I am still not sure what this has to do with Morrissey
It would cost Noel much more than his divorce to cancel gigs of that scale (and he’s actually the one disposed to pulling the plug): they’ll be on their best behaviourmy advice to anyone who is thinking of attending these is go to the first few nights as where is the guarantee that all nights will be completed.
a worldwide tour could be 8 months, could be like the old days or scottish detective taggarts tagline, theres been a murder.

Who did I agree with? There you go: something you’re both in agreement with, at last.
ITV showed a clip of apparently the last show where Liam was sitting there fuming at Noel as he finished off a song for him. The stare could have burned through sheet metal.
When Morrissey was asked what he thought of Oasis:
'I've always liked them. I think they're very amusing and very Mancunian and the best Manchester group since... (shrugs smilingly). But I do wish the singer wasn't so put out. "Do I really have to sing this next verse?" He could always go back to being a painter and decorator in Burnage. I read a comment supposedly by me in Club International where I called them boring electricians, words which have never left my lips. So they've slagged me off, of course, they have to, but I like them. Noel's very funny. Very runt of the litter. You can tell that he'd run off with the fillings in his grandmother's teeth but that doesn't mean he doesn't love her.'
And:
'Oasis are very tame to me. At a time when they have the spotlight of the world on them, they should have made the most revolutionary, creative record and instead it's practically awful. For a song which is trying so hard to create hooks, it doesn't really have any. God bless Noel; I'm sure he'll always have a spot on 'Bob's Full House', but I search for something with more bite and rage'
Christ, that’s sobering: so true.

Will they bring Rick Astley along?
Yeah remember Cameron - the huge Smiths fan. It's a bit cringe when politicians are forced to chime in, or even worse when they all start jumping on the bandwagon without being asked.
I remember all the politicians saying they really liked 'The Arctic Monkeys' just to curry favour.
It's something positive for the country as a whole though, as you said. To be frank, people need some feelgood stuff and some optimism.
Also interesting that it's coincided with another Labour government.
The obvious follow up question in the rose garden should have been "can The Smiths reform too?".What I love about all of this, is that The Smiths are being talked about...
