Is tonight the night when Morrissey comes out as a Trump supporter?
Nah. I can't imagine he's a fan of either. But he definitely wouldn't be pro-Kamala. A globalist, World Economic Forum, deep state puppet. Just like Sleepy Joe. Who would really have been pulling the strings with air-head, word salad Kamala in the White House? At least Trump is his own man.

Unlikely....but I was just wondering which M/Smiths song would be the perfect opener for tonight?

It was genuinely hilarious when he opened the Wembley Arena show in March 2020 with "London" - as so many of us there [even though it was only half-full] were anxious about the looming pandemic, just before the first lockdown. "Do you think you've made the right decision this time" indeed...

He seems to be playing mostly 1500 t0 2500 capacity theatres, which is bad when other bands do it, but cozy and intimate when Morrissey does it
I don’t think he has much choice. Bigger venues aren’t going to risk him canceling when it’s totally foreseeable that he will.

I agree with you

Are you mad? He would never of course.
I think they have much more in common than we want to admit. But yeah, I think if he did, only Jesse would remain with him (of the band, I mean).

Still no youtube videos from Little Rock

Here is the entrance to the stage, the intro and the first song Fatty

If in some universe this happened, all things being the same, I would not put it past members of his band to walk off. Matt seems especially liberal.
Matt Walker joined in with anti-Trump posts via his socials whilst in the band before 'leaving'. He's always been discreet, but his view echoed that of Jesse, Gustavo, Boz, Mando and Donnie at the time.

Noticed that.
Found a snippet of the added Please, Please... to check on if it was a new backdrop (it wasn't).
But, the use of the known Arletty image has me stumped as to which song..
Regards,
FWD.

Really? Very strange. I think they couldn't be further apart actually...
Hopefully you’re right. But if he stays silent at the gig, I’ll take that as a silent endorsement until further notice.

That's all it'll take for you? Him not saying anything anti-Trump in Alabama following years of documented anti-Trump rhetoric?

I'm not saying his opinions couldn't have changed, but I wouldn't call not rocking the boat in Alabama an "endorsement."

Why? You’re imputing an endorsement to him when his most recent opinion on Trump is dislike. The charitable thing to do, if he’s silent on the subject, is to assume no change.

I’m not feeling particularly charitable today (Father, forgive me).

It just wouldn’t surprise me if his opinion on Trump has changed.

Absolutely. His position on Trump could scarcely be more clear. I think the confusion is wishful thinking, of the most delusional order. Has he got to say it daily, for the message to get through?

But why wouldn’t it surprise you?
He had always hated Trump, or those in power, with a passion.
That will never change.
He’s edged closer to that particular branch of right-wing politics these past years. Waters, Farage, Le Pen, Robinson. Not to mention him sharing YouTube videos by alt-right people.
