Would it drive you crazy to know I was on the guest list last night?
I thought that was you. You wolfed down that KFC bargain bucket alarmingly quickly.

What’s that a reference to?
Spiv is a WW2 reference to a 'dodgy' dealer.
There may be linkage to a film or 2 that Morrissey would appreciate (doubtful that it's as obvious a Dad's Army).

Matt at Newark:
"We are the spivs and I'm grateful to be back."
So, in short, it remains more cryptic than anything.
FWD.

I wonder what Morrissey will make of the Niagara Falls on his visit? Apparently Oscar was left a little 'disappointed'.

Have a great time anyone who is going to the show tonight!

they are so so jealous, but anyway, glad you had a good time and got on guest list
Jealous about the guest list? Okaaay. But I’m genuinely thrilled for everyone who's had the chance to see the shows so far. The footage and write-ups have been fun to follow.

Nothing to even be jealous of, I just sensed it would drive certain folks here crazy. I apparently know nothing, yet…..

I sincerely don’t understand why some people seem to not like this group of musicians. Other than not seeing Boz/Alain up there reminding me of my own mortality, and that it ain’t 1992 anymore and that I’m one show closer to the grave, I didn’t hear a problem with the band.

;)
Interesting to hear that you think the band is doing well. I think they are getting better and better, plus they look good.

i havent seen anyone who was actually at these shows saying the band were poor,if they did it would soon make its way on here.having two females is a plus, lets face it boz and gary are hardly going to enhance the band photo if they were ever to come back.

Well, yes, that’s it. They’re just a group of musicians, not a band.
They’re alright. They make a noise that sounds kind-of-like the real song, it’s the little bits they change/add that grate on my ears.
True. It’s def not them-against-the-world. They clearly didn’t cut class or spend time together in detention in high school. You’d hear it in the music if they had that kind of relationship. It’s a solid facsimile of songs performed by great musicians, and that’s it. You don’t get the sense any of them would take a bullet for another. You get the sense that the band on Hangin with MTV in 1992 would have.

alain said the old band were poor at the start but soon got better, why does the old band get a pass but this new band doesnt.

I don’t think they’d take a wet flannel for each other, never mind a bullet. But I suppose neither situation has ever arisen.
They actually sound alright on the newer songs. But that might just be because we haven’t heard the studio versions of the songs.

Just finished this. I do not like this band very much, but watched this the whole way through because of how good Morrissey still sounds. The Loop and I Am Veronica were top notch, though.

How do you get your kit into the venue? It’s not a prison situation, is it?

No body cavities were involved in the making of this video.

I agree out about band ( apart from Jesse they are session musicians and when you watch them rather than Morrissey it really shows) however it's a Morrissey gig and when you focus on him it's nice to see him enjoying himself, Veronica is a great song but not sure about Ex I love you or whatever its called.

Morrissey certainly puts in a shift dragging this lot to a passable show. It is impressive how well his voice has held up as he has aged, compared to others (Elton, Jagger et al).
Part of me wishes he was with a proper, good band that could properly showcase his talent. These should be his golden twilight years, not his just-about-getting-away-with-it years.
