Someone in that thread asked her what Billy thought about her views and her response (which has since been deleted) said that it would be mental in their house if Billy didn't have the same views.

Being angry with Johnny for pointing out that Morrissey is a fan of Nigel Farage is a bit like angry with the sea for being wet. It happens to be factually correct - deal with it.

I do not think The Smiths should reform. Reunions never add to a band's legacy. They only take away. The Smiths captured a moment in time in this one small corner of the universe and that is how they should be remembered.

That said, I would enjoy seeing Morrissey pair up with another guitar hero type similar to the Liam Gallagher and John Squire collab.

I've said it before and I'll say it again: If Johnny finds you-know-who so abhorrent, why sing his lyrics? The Smiths' music is all Johnny's and he can perform those songs on tour as instrumentals or better yet, write new lyrics. Instead, he gladly accepts tidy sums of money every night he steps on a stage for what's essentially Smiths karaoke night.

If tender Johnny was as noble and sophisticated as he likes to think he is, he'd take the high road and say, "The Smiths were perfect, why tamper with history?" or better yet, DON'T FU*KING SAY ANYTHING AT ALL.

As a second guitarist, Craig brought a lot to the band, I think - as a live act, at least - and, like Andy Rourke, his contribution has been sorely underrated by Morrissey and Marr, but he could never have come close to adequately replacing Rourke as a bassist.

I agree that 'The Smiths' can never reform, but I'd still be interested to hear the fruits if new Morrissey/Marr collaborations. Unless Marr was singing them.

People always go on about crap reunions 'ruining the legacy', but do they really? The Sex Pistols and 'Never Mind the Bollocks' are still as revered as they ever were, despite the 'filthy lucre' reunions.

I don't think The Smiths will ever get back together, but if by some miracle they did and it was shite, that could never tarnish the stuff they did back in the day. It will live on, regardless of what they do.

A highly immature and petulant post from Marr. They should all three of them - Marr, Morrissey & Joyce - sit down together over a few beers and have it out properly. Clear the air via a good slanging match. They are all to an extent at fault. How is Johnny being 'nasty' when he is simply posting (without comment) a photograph of someone Morrissey has publicly stated he admires on more than one occasion, and who shares his anti-immigrant stance?

Why do you think Morrissey would be upset by the association with Farage, someone he said he liked a great deal, called a liberal educator, and would make a good Prime Minister?

Were all these quotes made up? Was Morrissey lying when he said these things? If not - then why on Earth should he be angry at this association?
