J Marr's criticisms of Morrissey are retrograde, they belong to the past... it is boring that he continues to say the same thing about Morrissey. He's already big, they should both be grateful to have formed The Smiths, I like Johnny, but that photo is too provocative..... he wants to continue foolishly fighting with Morrissey, he always looks for Moz to generate controversy... Yes, exactly, and the text is changed as well. The original says writers and saviours, in this altered version, it's singular.
I think Johnny is just reacting to all of this, incl Dodwell's column posted to Central, which is basically Morrissey reiterating HE IS THE SMITHS. Morrissey's little flying monkeys are out doing his dirty work and Johnny is rightfully sick of it. I think the Farage pic is saying no, Morrissey is not the Smiths, because the Smiths would not say and do the things Morrissey says and does

It's probably just some overexcited fan that did the edit anyway and camila just reposted it not knowing the original image. There's a lot of magazine that said the Smiths but just show Morrissey's face.* He was fronting the band for God's sake!

Those of you jumping in to call Johnny 'thick' - think of Morrissey, who hated education, never went to a college or university, read the same few books that he idolised, and now chooses to side with right-wing dolts, complaining about immigration while living in another country.

Please provide receipts where he says he has “sided” with right wing dolts. Just because you agree with something that someone says does mean you’re on their side. There is more to people and politics than just left to right. You would hope people are more complex than that.

I don't know, but I do sometimes think Morrissey has some influence over his band in some issues. Don't forget all the times Jesse defended Moz on social media whenever Johnny said something. I don't think is a coincidence.

I don't think the Farage thing is taking Morrissey seriously at all, I'm afraid. It's playing on Moz' bad public image for cheap laughs, like a schoolyard bully. And Moz expressed a desire to reunite for a long time after the Smiths.

There are ways to be estranged whilst showing some basic respect. I don't see much integrity on either side. It's not mutual distaste, it's two grown adults acting like little kids, and enablers stirring them up to continue. 'He's mean about me in magazines!', etc etc. I'm not applauding them for this crap or for any 'feud', it is awful and it needs to end.

Maybe he's just being loyal? I would too, if I know it's something that's causing my friend's grievance. Though, I admit I don't know much about what Jesse said and the ins/outs of the band. We all know mozzer is neurotic about some stuff. Perhaps it's not a concidence, we may never know
