Alma Matters

No intro to this (though I need to review all Sophie's footage at not 6am to be sure.)

At 2:50, Precious (the girl in the red jacket, who stood next to me in Baltimore) reached to grab his hand, he squeezed it, and sang "Oh Precious, my Precious," I think.

Start of Shoplifters:
"This song was written when some of you were...babies."

Start of I wish you lonely: "Thank you...thank you...(music begins) ...Does? This? ...Song?"

Start of Rebels:
"Thank you. It's very nice to be here, but does romance really exist? (Crowd shouts various answers) Does it really though?? But though, yes though, does it though?? Do you know *that* for a fact? You liar!"

Crowd shouts but we love you Morrissey! And Moz makes a very cute little face.

Start of HSIN?:
"Is it...is it always winter in Indiana? ...Everytime I've been here it's been winter. Does it ever change? 'Noooooo?' What do you mean 'noooo'?! What do you mean...by mean? Um...this is a question I've been saving up for, oh...let me think. An hour. How soon is now?"

New Dear God backdrop is the same as the previous Saint backdrop

Start of Veronica
(he's mumbling a bit here, so I'm not entirely sure):
HSIN ends, is very cutely fiddling with his tie which he's taken off. "...Little annoying. This tie. Yeah, I know. There are some...As you know, there are some immortal bones buried down the road of um. Could he...could he have known? Could he have known? I think he did (note: might be 'probably did'?)" Pauses, looks at his tie. "Did you know? (Sighs) ...Bones are immortal. So are songs."

Has there always been a harmonica in this song? Towards the end he says "I i i can also play harmonica. Yes yes!" And Camila actually starts playing one. Somehow I don't remember it being like that at Knoxville or Baltimore, but maybe I didn't catch it?

Start of Telephone:
"As you all know....so why am I telling you?? As you all know people who killed *children* receive better press in England than I do. Hasn't given me any ideas, but...I prevail. I prevail. I prevail. And sure enough. The telephone rings."

Start of First of the Gang:
"Thank you. Oh...that's very kind of you. Very kind of you. Very kind of you. (Someone shouts, Moz sassily says) What did you say??"

Someone gives him a note halfway through, and he very cutely walks around with it, waving it like a goof

Start of Pigsty:
(Singing with an exaggerated voice crack) "the enddd....the endddd. (Note: I'm not sure on this. It's a bit unclear). I slightly have, um...Flint throat. But I'm not gonna let it beat me. I refuse. (does a little ruff, ruff and punches his fists a bit. Points his finger up)...That doesn't mean it won't!"

No intro to Sunday

Intro to Ex Love You:
"As you know, I lead a, uh...Mm. Very quiet, quite pathetic life, really. When you think about it. Um, so I'm...(crowd shouting, Moz hisses) Shut up! Shut up!! (Continues) I'm very pleased to have in my so-called life the Harlots of 42nd Street. (Turns to band, turns back). Who...who each have names. And they wear their own clothes. For example, perfect specimen - Camila Gray. ...Jessie Tobias. Matthew (middle name...Ara?) Walker. Juan Galeano. And...the chill (??...true maybe?) and only, Carmen Vandenberg."

Crowd shouts 'And Morrissey! Who we love!' Moz nods and looks pleased.

"That's okay! ...I think."

Intro to Please:
"Thank you...(crowd keeps shouting and cheering, Moz fiddles with his pockets) ....Strange noises."

At the end of Please, he goes to shake someones hand. Someone else hands him a note. Can't quite hear what he says. "We're busy now"? Turns away slightly, turns back. Shakes another hand. "My dear. My dear. You look very well. You look very well. Oh-p! No you."

Darling starts

Start of The Loop:
"Thank you...(crowd shouts thank you Morrissey! Moz looks charmed) Oh...thank *you*."

Start of Jack The Ripper, before the smoke machine engulfed everything and nearly choked me to death:
"You see, I-I don't get to...I don't get to see people very often. 'Cept for when I'm in hospital or something obviously. So this proximity is quite shocking, really...for me. But...but enough of me."

Moz strips off his blazer here as smoke engulfs us all and looks incredibly good as he swings it around in the ominous red lighting. Had I died it'd have been fine with me honestly.

No intro to dear god or far off places.

Intro to Speedway:
"Life begins again!"

okay. Goodnight everyone. I am wiped lmao

Yeah Camilla is up to speed on harmonica for the song now. I'm so glad it's returned now complete with MC's backing (so it seems). I did love his yodeling which he used to do to end, but maybe it's asking too much. Just so great to hear his voice sounding so good now.

What he said here changed Telephone for me a bit. After he sang the first line, "You must tell the little kids that live in hell now." It clicked in me, "Ok.. that's got to be exactly what he means by that line! The little kids who happen to catch the news mummy and daddy are watching, OR mummy and daddy are just watching the news, which is reporting kids being murdered left and right. So he urges the parents.. 'You must tell them.. they live in hell now..'" a warning.

A few more pictures.
This is the rest of them.

The one of Moz sitting at the keyboard is so cute.
He sat there while each band member went up and said things in Spanish.
My Husband took notes during the show to ask me when we got back to the hotel, and one question was, "Why did they all speak in Spanish during their thank yous?"
I wasn't sure. I told him I'd ask Solo. Does anyone know?

Morrissey should have played a few notes while he was sitting there. Didn't he play piano on "Death of a Disco Dancer"?

As for the Spanish thing, aren't one or two of Morrissey's band native speakers?
