Carmen’s “thank you” is in Italian, not Spanish.

Juan’s a native Spanish speaker obviously; Jesse is Mexican-American but no idea what his first language is.

Honesty I don’t like that part of the show. I’d have no problem if the band said thank-you (in whatever language they wish) when Morrissey introduces them, but I find the way that they line up in the middle of the stage to be really cringey.

No intro to Sunday

Intro to Ex Love You:
"As you know, I lead a, uh...Mm. Very quiet, quite pathetic life, really. When you think about it. Um, so I'm...(crowd shouting, Moz hisses) Shut up! Shut up!! (Continues) I'm very pleased to have in my so-called life the Harlots of 42nd Street. (Turns to band, turns back). Who...who each have names. And they wear their own clothes. For example, perfect specimen - Camila Gray. ...Jessie Tobias. Matthew (middle name...Ara?) Walker. Juan Galeano. And...the chill (??...true maybe?) and only, Carmen Vandenberg."

Crowd shouts 'And Morrissey! Who we love!' Moz nods and looks pleased.

"That's okay! ...I think."
At “quiet pathetic life” I nearly said “beats opening for new order!”

Morrissey was very chatty last night, more so than any show I can recall. Also, tons of hand shakes. It helped that the front row of the pit had their hands on the stage, giving him easy access. But there was only one stage invader attempt, a young boy who was lifted up on stage and promptly taken off when security moved in.

Midway through the show, he tossed his tie with faces of James Dean on it into the crowd. A woman in the first row behind the pit took it home. There were several hands on it but she had a death grip. It must have been well made to survive the tug of war that ensued.

I was sure, being in Indianapolis, we were going to hear "Suedehead" last night. He even teased it in some of his comments. But no, it didn't happen. Perhaps my only mild disappointment of the evening.

He made a comment about having "Flint throat" and his voice definitely had some moments as the night went on (he sounded great in Flint). Keeping fingers crossed that he's all recovered for tonight's show.

To be honest I find some of the things his band members have done over the years to be quite demeaning.

Wearing the same clothes, the slogans "we hate William and Kate" - they are professional musicians, not slaves.

When you are in Morrissey's band you have to acquiesce to his every whim or you're out, it seems.
