It's sad that Donnie K made it impossible for Alain and Gustavo to continue working with him, especially with Matt Walker now back in the fold. There felt to be a real burst of energy added in the 2021-early 2023 shows. Perhaps it's because Alain essentially took Boz's role so there was at least a sense of continuity. It's a bit sad that there is no longer a single Brit in the band given that so much of the discography is hyper-British.

Time moves on for us all so I'm not surprised that there is a more "static" presentation these days. It would certainly seem somewhat ridiculous/jarring if the backing band were "rocking out," if I might be so jejune, more than M.

also, maybe a bad move to have a go at Trump in 2024, his audience now has A LOT of fecking Trump cross-over

Mate, I will say, as drunk as me and my mates got, we could still see M was fecking AWESOME at the Dallas and this gig. We all wished we had the spare time to follow our man around, like back in the day
You are fecking right though mate, this is his worst band by far. I think even if you love the music of Boz or AW, If you put your hand on your heart, you would have to say its always been M that carried both of em. 70% of AW and Boz music was pretty much Rockabilly/Smithy pub rock. It was M who transformed it into something great. I am not having a dig, just being honest. If you read the music press and spoke to most fans in the UK, in the 90s they would agree.
The fecking facts are though, what both AW and Boz lacked in music skills, they more than made up for in energy, enthusiasm, and passion. They were fecking thrilled to bits to be with M and given the chance to make music and tour with him. AW was especially super thrilled to be on the stage. This new band seem not to give a feck, and almost act as if they are too cool to fecking care. They aren't that great musically, and they have zero fecking passion. They look bored.
Someone said on here, it's like the band and M are separate from each other. Its true. They have completely different stage energy. M is giving it large and the band are half assed and limp

To end on a positive, M was fire and the venue for this gig was top notch

Too right mate,
I just posted about that, before seeing your post. I wish he would get shot of this new band. I have tried to be supportive and did like the idea of women being in the band. The trouble is these two just seem, like your average West Coast rocker types who think they are too cool for school, They are just dull, To me they give off fecking bad vibes, like they think they are too cool for M and his fans. They are a buzz kill
Actually, I have never fecking really got the sense that Jesse digs M's groove, not in the way that Johnny, Boz and AW did. Basically, it's like you have Jesse the leach, holding on to M , as he knows he will be out of work otherwise, then these two women, who are just fecking temping, until their real mates let them join their band.

No, i think you’re underestimating these ‘girls’.
 
meant to say,well done to all the stage invaders for being on their best behaviour,this is the way it should be from now on as M is getting on a bit.

Whole concert though the camera stopped for an unknown reason, “I Love Morrissey” wrote, so the last 3 songs are missing. I’m just about to watch this myself for the first time.
