I don't want to spoil the party, but is it not more likely that this is the set/songs that the band learned in anticipation of the initial proposed release plan that @Odbmke mentioned before Galli was dumped, and it just didn't make sense for the whole band to veer from what they'd practiced? Rather than "I Ex-Love You"/"Bonfire" tracks being a sign that release news is imminent?

I hope Morrissey is OK - someone mentioned he said: ""I have overcome great physical difficulties to be with you tonight" ......................he seemed to be struggling a bit in the videos Baby J shared on You Tube. Maybe first night opening nerves? Nice to hear a new song though, would be lovely for him to have his babies (the two albums) finally released. Viva Morrissey - back on stage & he hopefully felt the love from all those that attended 💓

I would agree that he seemed to be digging deep. I don't think he was feeling 100%. If that's the case, good on him for still wanting to sing and put on a show.

It's also interesting that the religious references are becoming more frequent and prominent.

The image of Christ and the biblical quote. The loop of Harvey Keitel in church, used at the Vegas gigs.

Whatever he is facing of late, his faith does appear to be providing some solace.

I'd love to hear him sing Saint In A Stained Glass Window at one of these gigs.

Yes this an amazing song !!!
Longing to hear that properly and Veronica on the album - just his vocals is fine by me (who needs Miley anyway?)

Because Christianity has never been more under attack.

So this sounds like This Charming Man, and Rebels sounds like Cemetry Gates. Anyone notice the new songs have an upbeat Smiths vibe? Not saying that's a bad thing, of course.

i agree. its like hes embracing a style he stayed away from for a while. to me its in the drums especially here in this song. like a clean shot to the head, i ex love you

For anyone in doubt of his vocal ability, have a listen to this.

Someone in their twenties or thirties would be praised for being in such great voice.

For someone who is 65 years of age, it is truly remarkable.

And this was captured by someone's rickety phone, on a night when he appeared to be feeling below par!

Bravo Morrissey, bravo.

The band also played this song brilliantly, so credit to them too (y)
