Silent and gray...

How soon and security :swear

Wasn't really yelling though was it? He just seemed annoyed, which- if it was a security issue - makes sense. He's never liked it when security got too heavy handed at his shows. The footage was a bit shaky, but it seemed like he was talking to the man in the yellow shirt? And he seemed like venue security. I don't know what happened there at the start though, when he went off to the side of the stage.

Republicans and democrats

What I’m saying is that we have a legend in front of us who understands the importance of his song setlists not just for demonstrating his talent but for influencing culture internationally. It’s a privilege to see him tonight or any night. It will never be lost on me how important of a figure this one man is to so many people around the world. He’s been an incredible influence in my life and I hope he’s been one for you, too.

The last time Morrissey played Atlantic City was 2013 at the House of Blues and now 11 years later, he's back! Here are some of my thoughts....

- Venue was almost completely sold out. Which is damn impressive because in 2007 Morrissey played the Borgata in AC and it was half filled, 2013 at the HOB was also not a sold out show. AC is kind of a tough place to fill up because almost everyone travels to see a show here (from Philly, New York, Baltimore, DC). It was easily the largest turnout Morrissey has had in AC since 2007.

- The actual makeup of the crowd was basically all ages. I pretty much seen every generation present at the show tonight, which is usually the case whenever I see Moz but again remains impressive because most bands and artists don't always bring in all different age groups of fans. It's a testament to his music and also the legacy of the Smiths.

- Morrissey sounded incredible. Pigsty is a song I've been dying to hear for awhile and he absolutely knocked it out of the ballpark. His voice only continues to get stronger, it's masterful. Also the band played really well.

- Noticed Carmen and Camila using the front entrance to get in about three hours before the show. They were speed walking on through. Maybe they were playing on the casino floor beforehand?

- Morrissey definitely was not happy about the venue security. I was sitting in the 200 level and my seat was excellent. Almost dead center and a great view but you could easily notice all the yellow security guards standing alert near the front of the stage. He made several comments during the first couple of songs with one being "it's always been my dream in life to play to 50,000 security guards". Or something along those lines. I'm sure videos will be posted later today but the venue certainly did overkill it with the security. Also as was pointed out in the thread something happened during Veronica where he wanted someone removed. I'm paraphrasing but it went something like "You're ruining everyone's night around you, and you're ruining my night. Why did you keep staring at me? Please leave. Go!"

- There were a few stage invasions, and I'm pretty sure one of them tried kissing Morrissey and not on the cheek. Couldn't quite tell from my vantage point.

- The merch line was crazy and all the Unlovable shirts sold out FAST. They only had XL and 2XL when the doors first open but those shirts flew like hot cakes. Also all the signed 7' sold out as well. Also noticed the one Irish Blood, English Heart shirt was missing, probably all gone. Merch flying outta here. BOOYAH!

- I Ex-Loved You sounded INCREDIBLE. Can we please get a damn proper release for BOT? Every single BOT song that has been played live, I've heard over the last three years, and all of them have been outstanding. A damn crime we don't have a physical release for that record since the material seems to be the best output Morrissey has done in awhile.

Overall another great show from Moz and the gang. This was my second time seeing him this year and both times were in gambling cities Vegas and AC. If the man is in your area, go see him. Ain't nothing like it.

Viva Morrissey!

Did you happen to take a pic of merchandise stand? For Atlantic show.....thanks for information, I appreciate you

Overall impressions from tonight were exceedingly positive. This band is playing so well together. Morrissey is singing wonderfully. His wit is as sharp as ever. The setlists will invariably be criticized but dems da breaks when you’re looking at a catalog of 40+ years worth of brilliance. Someone is bound to be be bored or critical of a lack of variance. I think morrissey is playing what he wants to hear. Pigsty wouldn’t have consistently been played if it weren’t (which is so moving live). What I find fascinating is how we’re not hearing meat is murder or bullfighter or gang lord. In some ways it’s disappointing because they’re all linguistically and musically brilliant while in others I’m grateful during this period of American history during the timing of this tour the cultural temperature is hot enough. Thank you so much for your live reporting. You did a great job! Wonderful review as well. I really agree with what you said. It is a tremendous privilege. It feels like being in the presence of a living legend and yet the connection feels so personal too.

Looks and sounds like another great success!! Thanks for the reporting, Amsden. I'm going to do my best to report in from Indi next Friday. I hope I won't be too zoned in, but I might be. I won't make any promises. Maybe I'll have my husband do it, HAHAHA.

Viva MOZI!!!
(I can't wait to see you again, my dearest Moz)
