Listening to the lyrics of Ex Love You and just laughed. The well of inspiration really is bone dry isn't it.

That annoying habit of stretching 'aaaaaaannnnnd' over a few measures to kill more verse time before they can get back to the chorus, is fooling no-one either.

How soon ....

He really wasn't joking in that Dodwell interview when he said ''It doesn't matter what you sing on stage'' 45 years in the music biz and he believes that 🤮

The setlists have gone downhill fast since Alain left which isn't surprising. How can there be so little variation from tour to tour, never mind the 'new songs' which aren't actually new anymore just unreleased.

Pigsty making a welcome return isn't enough to save this car crash, a collection of songs that have been hammered over the last few years on various tours unfortunately.

Would it kill him to dust off Playboys, Interesting Drug or Now My Heart Is Full ? You know the actual classics that a whole generation of fans have still never heard him sing live. Never known an artist give such disservice to their back catalogue.

Dear God Please Help Me? Really? Has he forgot he wrote Late Night, Maudlin Street or Lost.

I've been to multiple shows on every UK tour since 2009 so consider myself a fan lol, but if this setlist continues into next year I'd actually sit the next one out. I'm not expecting to hear Well I Wonder every night, just some of my favourite songs from my favourite artist. I'm sure someone will say that's my problem?? SURE ENOUGH THE TELEPHONE RINGS
Unfortunately I feel the same - this setlist does nothing for me. It's been the same for the past few years now and I'm tired of it.

Moz has always been an awkward sod when it comes to setlists, but that used to be a positive - changes every night, plundering the obscure depths of his work and sneaking in the unexpected. The problem with this current setlist is that's it's quite dull and it's been flogged to death.

I'm not asking for all the classics, but just some proper variation. Surely this is a band related issues - do the newcomers not know his wider catalogue? I'd kill for Work is a Four Letter Word at this point.

I really hate how he ruins How Soon is Now. At least we have Johnny's impeccable playing of it. Morrissey continues to shit all over the Smiths legacy and complains when no one wants him associated with it or wants a 'reunion'. Why would Johnny even want to touch this?

Well there are 6 new songs now compared to the last tour, so that's a nice start.
It wouldn't surprise me if we go up to 10 new songs compared to the last tour.
That would be half of the setlist changed.

so what you are saying is as long as he plays my favourite songs then it will be a good setlist, what about everyone elses favourite songs, talk about selfish,as for alain he is not coming back anytime soon.

So, It means that " I Ex Love You " Will be released as a single this week ? I hope it will ...

I mean that would all be great, but the way I read it is that this week was the original plan.

But the performance of the song could mean there is a plan-b in the works to get it released soon.

I really hope so, it sounded great to my ears. Wonderful rendition by Moz.

He’s selling a shirt with the original Beethoven cover just three months after reissuing it with an awful, nonsensical new cover? wtf? He keeps showing us how little of a shit he gives in new and interesting ways.

I Ex-Love You was meant to have been released earlier this week. Until M decided to wreck what’s left of his career in his own way.

Edit: just watched a few songs. His voice is not good. The top of his range is gone and you can see him struggle every time he goes there. Alcohol is awful for singers.

yes, this was my thought as well. completely baffling why he changed it in the first place. the original cover was so much more iconic.
i guess now he's realized he made a mistake?

I don't want to hear anything past The Smiths and Your Arsenal for a while, and I especially do not want to hear these new songs.
I saw so many people on twitter complaining about the setlist tonight, no one wants to hear this crap he is playing and it's showing in that he cannot sell out these shows and some aren't even close to sold out.
He also needs to get rid of his diversity hires.

Ngl I'm a bit disappointed that there was no costumes worn by the band or Moz for Halloween. I don't even celebrate the damn thing, just wanna see some costumes, people!...
Yeah - as in the past, but I wonder if M is wary of pressuring the girls like that. From the vids I've seen so far looks like they were concentrating on a tight show. Last night the stage might have ended up looking a bit empty if they'd found witchy gear ready for them backstage.
