Amazing !!!!!!
Walked on stage and sang the chorus of “Cancel Is My Middle Name” on his own.
The lawnmowers then burst in and Carmen made a complete car crash of it.

Benny 🇬🇧 :knife:
Yes, it was so rough, abstract, purposely off, almost disturbed at points tonight, unpredictable for sure..and loved every second..so you may be right BENNY on this one. Let's review the film and try to see through the dense fog that covered inside and outside what really happened.

Carmen is just so terrible, and the way she swaggers like she is rocking out or something. Awful.

I really hate how he ruins How Soon is Now. At least we have Johnny's impeccable playing of it. Morrissey continues to shit all over the Smiths legacy and complains when no one wants him associated with it or wants a 'reunion'. Why would Johnny even want to touch this?
You really shouldn't listen then. It's clear that it just makes you miserable and unhappy.

I don't want to hear anything past The Smiths and Your Arsenal for a while, and I especially do not want to hear these new songs.
I saw so many people on twitter complaining about the setlist tonight, no one wants to hear this crap he is playing and it's showing in that he cannot sell out these shows and some aren't even close to sold out.
He also needs to get rid of his diversity hires.
Someone needs to break the story of why none of his old musicians (ex-Tobias) are working with him anymore, and are in fact touring and playing Morrissey’s music without Morrissey. Think about wtf must have happened to make Alain and the boys do that. Wild that all sides are pretending that nothing super weird is going on.

Can’t tell us why Keith and the rest of the band are on tour without Mick, or Perth, etc…. BUT HEY GUYZ IT WAS A PEN NOT A VAPE!!!

This just all reads like alcoholism. His ex band members are sick of the abuse so they are doing their own thing for a minute, but they aren’t publicly saying anything because they hope their old friend gets his shit back together someday, so they don’t wanna burn the bridge. And alcoholics are hard enough to deal with when they haven’t collapsed their universe to only include yes-men and yes-nephews on the payroll.

I never believed what anyone was saying about it, I think Alain is just being polite and I do think there is some horrible story there.

I love any way for him to embrace his faith, but this particular verse in this particular context has nowt to do with Christ, I’m afraid, and everything to do with Morrissey and his rampant self-indulgence.
I would say you hit the blasphemous bad theology nail right on the head

Jesus Christ, the band is so insipid. They seem like they would rather be anywhere else. Looking down all the time. No stage presence. And the setlist sucks.

Good news is: everything is so low at Moz world that the only way now is upwards. Let´s rejoice.

I really like this! Yes, it is similar in sound to The Smiths, however, I find it more akin to Please Help the Cause Against the Loneliness. Lyrically, it's more 'comedically failed love' that Morrissey wrote more about in the early years of his career.

I do hope Bonfire of Teenagers gets released. The album has been scorched to death so far with a stumble-and-fall history. Hopefully we will receive positive news soon...

Funny how there was a reasonable degree of positivity and optimism on this thread, regarding the setlist and performance, for the first few pages, and then (inevitably) the trolls emerge and reduce this post-show discussion to nothing more than a steaming pile of negativity.

Well, I wonder why that is...?

Personally, I like the modest shake-up of the setlist and showcasing of a new song. Moz seems to still have an appetite for singing live and he's still well enough to do it. All good, in my book. Perfect? Not necessarily. Good enough? Of course it is.

Thanks for pics,

Merch:

Definitely some unique shirts re: Houston / space. Guess the field trip to NASA helped.

Personally, I believe shirt #10 could be the hidden gem, it's price range($60) and being a long sleeve in humid texas has hidden this from eyesight, I see that changing at colder venues.
And of course the Houston We Have A Problem, one off , was the one to get, and if you got one it has already doubled in value, because of being sold out OR is it? Now on sale at Mporium UK!!!!
And other notes #11 shoplifter is intriguing to me and a good choice also. But could be added to Mporium later after tour and #8 PRETTY PETTY THIEVES being a ringer is nice too, even Moz put one on at the end of show.
Thanks so much for everyone posting pics 📸

Judging by the videos posted so far, Morrissey seemed a bit... well, off. How was he throughout the night? Did he communicate much between songs?

The Ai generated imagery needs to stop. Like out of all the things this man has done, the Ai usage really cuts me deep.
This is definitely not AI. Also as someone said mentioned above this image was floating around before AI "art" really became a thing.
