I agree with the other posters on here, it does sound a bit like This Charming Man, especially at the start. It's probably an homage to the Smiths, just like RWA. I think I like Rebels better though. Need to hear the new song again to judge better. Looking forward to the videos!
Sam also thought it sounded like The Smiths(from the 2021 interview):
SAM:
I Ex-Love You’ does unmistakably have a certain Smiths sound. Intentional?
M:
Yes, it’s a trap. I’m trying to live up to my trashy reputation. No, sorry, I was talking to the plant.

bruce lee loop is from fist of fury.
the new song is a live clip, wait till the studio version before you judge, the usual haters will say its crap but this looks like being very catchy.
as for his illness, think he is well over that now,he looks in good nick which is good for the tour.

Was that Matthew Ira Walker behind The drums? No one has mentioned the band, different from the last time

More interesting set list, new song sounds ok. Hopefully I'm wrong but not sure why people assume songs from Bonfire means he's releasing it soon, he's played Telephone 66 times, Veronica 26 times and Rebels 28 times according to Set list FM.

The lyrics don't sound great to Ex Love You but the music is a lovely piece of jangle pop. Do we know who wrote it?
Of the 11 Bonfire songs, I think we've now heard 8, i.e. all of them except Ha Harlem, My Funeral and Diana Dors?
First time he's played Veronica for a couple of years. Also no songs off Without Music. Pehaps a Bonfire release is imminent.

Yes, that's true - but there is a feel that Bonfire has been given 'prominence' in the set list, rather as if it is his 'latest' album. And nothing from WMTWD - rather as if it is being 'held back' for later.

Snippet on Marianne’s insta. Dunno if the whole thing has since surfaced. Band played it good
was enjoying it before it cut off, sure it will apppear at some point.
