Everything about this show was as awkward as Moz himself parading around with that silly sign.
What exactly was the point of all 3 shows without any announcement of a pending album release?

It felt like the point was sharing the experience and joy of live music, proximity, creating a connection with fans and among fans, doing what he loves and showing love to those who love him/his songs, giving a respite from every day life. Any awkwardness only added to what is so seductive and genuine about Morrissey and the band. The show, the venue, the performance, the balloons, the New Year message and count down felt very authentic and fitting.

Simple.....it was his first time in HIS CAREER that he even stayed for the Countdown,it won't be perfect, its ,let's stay in the moment....... this show was monumental historically, especially if he plays 20 more years. Thanks to LA you recorded,filmed added pics,comments, you took care of us from the ones looking in on this one.

could be his sister,george michaels sister took over his estate and i seem to remember princes 6 half brothers and sisters getting their hands on his money which was only 6 million in cash and they sold the record side to a company.
if you dont leave a will this can be a minefield for the ones left behind.

Exactly this. Moz is just being honest. NYE ultimately relies on the inevitability that we are all doomed. That's why most people inebriate themselves. Or chase tail. To forget that simple fact.
