As has been stated several times, the modification of WMTWD is the most important statement in FiDo's recent efforts, along with the comments on Johnny Marr. Why was the record, which according to Tobias is a "insert a superlative here please", changed so decisively? These are not minor details and are at least of interest to those who had hoped for Alain's contributions.
Yes indeed, and there are definitely good reasons to assume Whyte’s contributions may be re-recorded. But then there also could be other reasons why they chose to re-record some tracks. At this point we don’t know.

In either case Alains approach should be reserved as he will continue to rely on his work with Morrissey anyway for whatever he chooses to do in the coming years.

Record a spontaneous EP with the new musicians, to show their talents. Put this short material on bandcamp as a test. Don't modificate recorded and already highly praised material and believe, the rest of your old fans and the potential new ones cry "Hooooray".

If Carmen is co writing, I will have brand new stuff to mock, win

I kind of expected Notre Dayum to be your tagline again after we all discovered it still exists

Oh crap, this is news to me. Where did we find this out specifically? I’ve been out of The Loop.

Yes, I do wish him the best of luck.
But at the moment he relies only on Morrissey material for landing any gigs.
I would be interested in hearing new material, but it is unlikely to attract many new listeners.

Well, there's a recording from the NYE after party at the club M played at and FWD was able to isolate some of it and what appears to be the studio version of ND is on it (I see what you did there :lbf:)
I will go find it

Don't know what he expects from a solo career in the year 2025. The locations so far are very small but the live circuit is hard. Worldwide. His performances in Ireland looked and sounded great. WMTWD beats Morrissey's live version by far. Strictly 91/92. There is potential but is there an audience outside the 90s die-hard base?

Happy new tears, indeed.

And the point of this is?
To give me something to bitch about, of course. I thought I'd have to wait a while after his awful shows, but BOOM here it is, brand new stuff.

Happy new tears, indeed.
No, he did not play that! But if he did, I would have another thing to repetitively complain about and that would be awesome!
I think it starts at 3:10

These photos of Carmen are growing on me. I like them more and more. I’m glad they’re on the home page, so I am reminded of them often. I wonder if this means I will do a portrait of her.

Not sure if there is any potential unless they choose to do a Smiths/Moz 90s GH-show.
I see Smiths tribute bands selling out places all over this country, so there definitely should be an audience for a band with an ex-Smiths guitarist and four very well respected Morrissey band members.
I'm quite surprised things haven't really come off the ground for them, so far.
