I agree, these aren’t helpful to his career. Cool people had fun last night, but that’s the difference between weather and climate— the overall decline is not improved by one fun gig.

If he is gonna make as big a deal about these shows as he did, can’t he at least pull out a significant number of new songs? I mean, wouldn’t that get the fans excited? But yet again, his post 2012 career seems to be all about the announcement, not about the follow through. It’s much more exciting to announce a huge Asian tour than actually playing it….. it’s fun to think about playing Perth than actually going there… it’s fun to announce the vocal without permission…
I always assumed he (and every other musician) does shows to get money.

I wasn't there, I will be going to LA tonight though, hoping the team don't get called out of state. My team not M's
I don't know anyone who went to this gig but I think it looks like people had fun, its hard to get a fecking read when most of the people posting are hardcore fans, who would record a fart M did and say it's genius. I have been to so many M gigs in LA and the hardcore always say the gigs are good, even though some were fecking toss

It is nice to see M slimed down and in good voice
It's funny that he is rocking The Krays Tshirt, and he has started doing Spring Helled Jim, I wonder if the guy who would "do but never be done to" is one The Krays - one was bi and one was a complete ass bandit,
Fun fact, it's said in camp Krays, they were not keen on M 's singing and his song that mentions them

M really loves to try and name-check other gays and claim they are "real men" , this is just a way for him to feel better about his own tastes (he did it with the actor the other week ) . I can understand gay people being like that in their 20s but not 60s

Has anyone noticed M's way of projecting, he will call people names and say they have traits, which he has, not them
So, with Johnny Marr, he said he has no confidence and is still like a child when most people would say that is M, not Marr
He also tried it with Bowie, by saying Bowie was this faggy figure and Mick Ronson, was the lad, which is true but its more true of M and Marr.
I mean, loads of people thought Marr was the cool lad and M, the complete ass bandit,

What 'team' is that, Dirk? Grey Goose? Johnny Walker?

Super stale setlists at this point, for anyone who has seen him in the last 4 years.
Just look at the lack of posts in here when it could be so different, we still want him to win and turn things around…

Spring Heeled Jim has gone already :LOL:

Krays T-shirt but no Playboys… c’mon Moz!!

Can’t believe the Marr / Smiths fallout hasn’t been reflected in what he’s chosen or not chosen to sing live since… apart from HSIN which was long overdue a break anyway.
I wasn’t expecting Angel Angel or Break up the Family but it’s literally business as usual lol
Give us something to show he isn’t just phoning it in

Yes, I see what you mean about the follow through, there isn't any. Sycophants were expecting an announcement re BOT release, but no one with any sense expected it. I think he plays the super fans, he knows they are easily led and will believe anything he says, so he doesn't have to follow through on anything, they will make all the excuses for him and keep going back for more. That seems to be the fuel that is driving his career now. He has Camilla posting IG nonsense and they eat up, his keyboardist is his publicist, rather pathetic.
There are a lot of people who want to hear more Smiths songs ( different ones, not the ones he plays - they'd like some diversity ha ha...) but I would not trust this band to do a Smiths heavy setlist.

they were both there last night, no JIM tonight
Ahhhh that's a shame. I wondered if the random film track cockney voices were a bit distracting and tripped him up. I guess he wanted to deliver the song as per the record.
Hope it gets a retry.

I wonder what he will play tomorrow.
An extended set, with SHJ included.
Probably not too extended. He said before on an old TTY Q&A that he can’t perform any longer than an hour and a half because his jaw locks or something, if that’s to be believed. If he’s actually planning to lead the countdown, maybe he’ll just go on late?

I always assumed he (and every other musician) does shows to get money.

One show specifically (a few years back) he stopped and spoke about how singing saved his life and he thanked us for saving his life. I’ll never forget this, standing directly in front of him as he talked sincerely about why he sings live and tours. Several of us yelled back that he has saved us also.
It’s a mutual respect for many and I hope he continues on for as long as he can.

There is rarely so little information about Moz concerts, that have just finished, at this time of day. And that despite the fact, that the concerts are so successful. 1-2 lunatics from Solo are always there. Usually.
The crazy part about that is , the call themselves Fans.
What's got me worried is the hatred is deep because they are relentless about their negative opinions.

Correct me if I'm wrong,
But didn't John Lennon and Selina both die from Lunatic Fans , that's where concern comes in☹️
