Is there a link? How about @dneuer, is he ok?

Edit - Got it

Thank you @new musings and as always the good folks here at M-Solo for supporting Alain. It's not exactly the kind of circumstances you wanna to get a page post about, but it may just be the most important one that's been shared. So, sincerest of thanks.

Just in brief (and I'll try to check in periodically), Alain is doing ok. He and his kids are safe and have a place to stay. As terrible as it is, he fortunately does have very kind and caring support he can lean on here in LA as needed.

I know there is a lot of love and respect for Alain here amongst the fans, so on behalf of him and others involved with what we're doing or have done, thank you ALL so very much for that love and support you've shown and continue to show. I've quoted him elsewhere and I'll do so again... "it means a lot" :praying: ❤️

Donation placed. Alain's musical contribution to the World Of Morrissey means a lot to me. All the best for you and and your kids, Alain!

Alain's work means a lot to me too, I made a donation - would have liked to donate more, but I guess even a small stone can contribute to a bigger ripple. I would hate to be in this situation and wish Alain and his family all the best, to lose all the sentimental items and memorabilia is what would sting the most, but of course it is the immediate needs that take precedence - just to get the basics.

Aussies have been very shattered for LA - we know bush fires here all too well.

didnt even know alain had kids, very sad for all concerned.
surely he was insured,it will get to the stage where you cant even get your property in california insured because theirs fires every year its just that this one is a lot worse than previous years.

Small stone from me too. Just five bucks but Darrin said every bit helps.

He’s lucky to have someone like you around him.

Off to donate what I would have spent on the Without Music LP and a ticket to see the tour.

I wonder if Morrissey and other LA based artists could come together for a benefit concert to help those in need. That would be really cool.
The idea of millionaire pop stars pleading for cash in LA seems a barbed prospect.

I’ve simply donated—to someone who gives to me every day, via my playlist. That’s cool enough for me.

It is great to donate but why would you be opposed to millionaire pop stars raising way more money with a free concert? I don't understand the objection.

I didn’t say I was opposed, I said it was ‘a barbed prospect’: I could completely understand why an artist like Morrissey wouldn’t see it as inevitability ‘cool’ to get involved in a project like that.

Give him our Love mate

I got back a few days befire the fire and its nasty Im lookimg forward to gettubg back to Texas
Will he get insurance ?

I had a guitar that I never played sitting around for years. When COVID happened and Alain did all his Safe At Home videos, I finally learned to play all my favorite songs by watching his fingers. For that + writing my favorite Morrissey solo tracks, he is probably my favorite guitar player.

So sad about his belongings, luckily he is ok. Donated 20 bones, wish I could give more.
