It's 130 am in California, seems like no one cares enough to post about the show tonight, even Setlist fm is empty
There is rarely so little information about Moz concerts, that have just finished, at this time of day. And that despite the fact, that the concerts are so successful. 1-2 lunatics from Solo are always there. Usually.

Yes, I agree on all counts, esp the lunatics. The shortage of information is strange.

Was Spring-Heeled Jim replaced with I Wish You Lonely?

I wasn't there, I will be going to LA tonight though, hoping the team don't get called out of state. My team not M's
I don't know anyone who went to this gig but I think it looks like people had fun, its hard to get a fecking read when most of the people posting are hardcore fans, who would record a fart M did and say it's genius. I have been to so many M gigs in LA and the hardcore always say the gigs are good, even though some were fecking toss

It is nice to see M slimed down and in good voice
It's funny that he is rocking The Krays Tshirt, and he has started doing Spring Helled Jim, I wonder if the guy who would "do but never be done to" is one The Krays - one was bi and one was a complete ass bandit,
Fun fact, it's said in camp Krays, they were not keen on M 's singing and his song that mentions them

M really loves to try and name-check other gays and claim they are "real men" , this is just a way for him to feel better about his own tastes (he did it with the actor the other week ) . I can understand gay people being like that in their 20s but not 60s

Has anyone noticed M's way of projecting, he will call people names and say they have traits, which he has, not them
So, with Johnny Marr, he said he has no confidence and is still like a child when most people would say that is M, not Marr
He also tried it with Bowie, by saying Bowie was this faggy figure and Mick Ronson, was the lad, which is true but its more true of M and Marr.
I mean, loads of people thought Marr was the cool lad and M, the complete ass bandit,

Projection is Morrissey’s middle name. I thought the same thing when I read that bit.

Also funny that Moz wrote this to Johnny the same time he was emailing his manager saying he would respect Miley’s wishes:

“There comes a time when you must take responsibility for your own actions and your own career,”

Smart to remove Jim, but wild the band (and I include Moz in this) couldn’t even get one new song together for these important shows that used billboards to promote.

Morrissey sounds in great voice on the videos that I have seen.

There aren't many people who can sing better at the age of 65 than they could when they were 25, but that is certainly the case with him.

I am honestly not seeing how these shows are helpful to him. He has horrible setlists and a terrible band, they all seem to be playing a different song, there's no cohesiveness. I was watching Johnny Marr videos earlier and the band is so tight and sound so good. Then I watched some videos of Alain's band he put together with the others and they sound really good too. Hard to believe Morrissey is content with this mess, but he has kept all of them which is insane when you think about the musicians he's hand in the Smiths and his solo career. I wonder if he can't find anyone who wants to work with him.

I agree, these aren’t helpful to his career. It’s great that people had fun last night, but that’s the difference between weather and climate— the overall decline is not improved by one fun gig.

If he is gonna make as big a deal about these shows as he did, can’t he at least pull out a significant number of new songs? I mean, wouldn’t that get the fans excited? But yet again, his post 2012 career seems to be all about the announcement, not about the follow through. It’s much more exciting to announce a huge Asian tour than actually playing it….. it’s fun to think about playing Perth than actually going there… it’s fun to announce the vocal without permission…
