Oasis reunion + Morrissey

As always when other bands and their successes are discussed, the bitter Moz brigade come charging in. Moz is incapable of having nice things, so therefore no one else should either.

I was an oasis fan before I became a Moz fan. Long may they live!

So, this is a world tour? Hope so because when I told my husband, he looked like he wanted to book a ticket to England.
We have seen Noel with his band, husband saw Liam and Richard Ashcroft, but we have not seen Oasis.

Saw Oasis twice in 1994 here, amazing atmosphere.
But it really is young man’s music. I somehow can’t see a bunch of guys in their 50s sing about cigarettes and alcohol to a greying and balding audience.
It will be a bit like the Sex Pistols when they reunited

It was a very mixed audience at Liam’s Definitely Maybe tour as you get all the youngsters who have heard about the album going, it will be the same at these gigs.

It’s the same at the recent Buzzcocks gigs I went to, the pit was full of 20 years olds.

If you look at Liam’s audience today, you’ll notice that probably the majority are very young. Oasis’ music appeal to a wide variety of people. Liam himself doesn’t look half bad at 52 either. Nor does his brother at 57. One reason to why this particular reunion is probably going to work is that neither Liam nor Noel are has-beens. They’ve stayed busy and relevant, cherished the Oasis legacy while at the same time creating new music that people enjoy. They don’t have to do this.

Do the Buzzcocks still play? Wow! Saw them last in the mid 90s, great concert.

No, but money is the sole motivation behind this. They still dont like each other very much I suppose.
And the setlist will probably be very predictably hit-oriented, no deep cuts.

It will definitely be great for casual fans who want to hear the hits live, but for people who have seen them in 1994 or 1995 it will likely be quite disappointing. A bit like The Stone Roses reunion.

It nearly killed him in 92 and he suffered mental damage in 95. So why supporting the bros in 2025?
The fans of Oasis would probably get him off the stage. He no longer has any credit outiside his remaining hardcore fanbase.

This is some crazy shit, trying to insert Morrissey into an Oasis reunion. Some of the posters here are more delusional than usual. And 'special guest' :lbf: I think a lot of people would be really unhappy if Morrissey showed up with his crappy setlist and horrible band.

Yes, just like the Madness crowd in 1992. And I don't think the Bowie crowd couldn't really care either.
Morrissey is and always was very much his own man, he should never support anyone ever again. Leave that to Johnny.

Speaks volumes, Gregor. Silly people liked Oasis. Discerning music fans preferred Suede or Pulp.
