Oasis reunion + Morrissey

just curious, is it all original members, or just them two? Because no one seems to be making a fuss that it’s only the two of them pictured in this promo shot.
Noel isn't even an original member.

Bonehead is part of it, he’s also been playing in Liams live band, doubt the original drummer will be asked to take part.

Founding member and guitarist Bonehead is onboard. No news yet on the rhythm section. I think most fans want the original bass player and the second drummer Alan White (yes, really) who joined in early ‘95. We shall see.

thats what iv been asking all week, wouldnt quite be oasis without the full band.

i just realised these concerts are a year away,if your ticket is on your phone you have to make sure you dont erase your tickets for a year.
what happens if you get a new phone and your not clued up on transferring stuff, bit of a nightmare if you ask me.

It's not as straight forward as that, for example the original drummer only played on Definitely Maybe and one track off What's the Story Morning Glory. It will possibly be Liam/Noel/Bonehead and then maybe some of the people who played on later albums or were part of Noels and Liams live bands.

And you’ve been answered, Gordon. Multiple times.

Uh oh!

Alert. Alert.

Blossoms will be supporting Oasis at the reunion gigs.

You know what's coming.......

I unplugged my computer to make sure no tickets were sent to me by mistake - I certainly wouldn't buy them - as I cannot stand oasis. In fact, I could use stronger language with regards to that band but it's a Sunday.

good for them. But I hope they stand on their own songs and not pull another Rick roll. Would be so sad (for them & audience) if they did.

I suppose they could do a bit of both.

Some of their own songs, and then bring on Rick to do some Smiths songs, with Marr guesting on guitar.

Wouldn't put it past them, as Blossoms are also from Manchester, might make them want to give the crowd some Smiths songs.

Oasis released 7 albums the original drummer played on one. Anyone who is into Oasis would probably prefer Alan White as he was around the longest.

Also, he wasn't even very good.

The difference in the drumming after him is discernible.

So why would they risk lowering the quality of their performance.

He also tried to sue them

Btw, I’m a bit disappointed if Blossoms are the only opening choice of the brothers, where’s the diversity? This is a great opportunity to bring something new to the audience. Makes me realize there’s more than just one bonehead in Oasis.

Yeah, totally agree. Maybe a drunk playing the spoons, or a gangsta rapper, or some nasal singers would have offered the diversity you mention. Or maybe they don't want to be outshone by the support acts. Just a thought.

Thought it would be as they flashed up the Oasis logo and the announcement date at the end of their Wythenshawe gig.

Imagine Morrissey's thoughts on that, particularly if Johnny joined them for the Smiths songs.

It would be more weight to his argument that he is being 'deleted' from The Smiths.

Bit of a clown show if they do. How embarrassing. I mean, they got this important gig, well? they should prove their worth to the audience and do their own songs. I’m just saying it would be an unimaginative, and predictable move if they did.

Pretty sure there will be more supports added. Blossoms played at Wythenshawe last week and the whole set was their own songs.

It’s alright. Joyce sued too, but some people think he should and would be a part of a Smiths reunion. o_O

Personally I really rate Joyce as a drummer.

If you sued and you're actually not very good, that's a bit different isn't it.

I think if you're actually very good, you should probably have a place at a reunion (even if you sued)

But whether you would actually be allowed a place is a different matter.

Me too, he’s also a very nice chap, had a great chat with him at a Bunnymen gig, Steve Diggle from Buzzcocks also rates him.

I don’t think Oasis need to worry about any support act outshining them. Haha, for f***’s sake. Some people here don’t know music if it’s not Morrissey… Oasis’ got the whole world eating out of their hands. Their comeback broke the internet. It’s the biggest thing in music in a long time. For the million people attending these shows, who have been waiting 15 years for this moment to come true, they can do no wrong on that stage.
