This means, that he, who cannot be gagged, has adapted the crude lyrics in such a way,
that a record company could theoretically just about swallow them. Success? Really?

Or maybe he just thinks the line now 'scans' better? The 'this is not terror-ism' line doesn't exaxtly trip off the tongue.
The point of the song remains. 5 years on and they still don't know what caused the fire. It looks like at this point we will never know what caused the fire. Just think about that
for a second. And yet they 'ruled out terrorism' straight away. Fire causation is a science. That statement wasn't.

I'd hold off cannonising Notre-Dame as 'new' or re-recorded for a while.
The lyric changes (doubling down on "they said there is nothing to see here" instead of "terrorism") was something he'd already done 3 months later after first performing the song in July, 2023.
The various videos capture the same dance feel as the track played, but with more guitar on stage for obvious reasons.
Speaking as someone who has sifted through the absolute mess of historical misattributed rarities (for now my 25th year online), I'd urge less use of anything definitive to describe this audio clip. It just ends up confusing people looking in at a later date and starts giving some 'validity' and foundation to things that could be entirely incorrect.

FWD.

Grateful for your work, I am

Oh Henrietta, you’re on repeat
You know, some people who are critical stayed out of the US tour threads, because it was the same old boring stuff, and were accused of 'hiding', and now people are complaining that the critical people are posting, so I guess the rest of you will have to learn to deal with it, and use ignore or something.
There's plenty to criticize here, this was poorly done and since criticism is allowed here as part of the discussion, I will post what I think about these shows.

The problem, to my ear, is that there's hardly any guitar at all in this recording. I hear the drums, the voice, and what may be some industrial-like, percussive guitar bursts. Maybe this is what Whyte originally wrote, though it sounds like it might be a new arrangement in the style of ... Bones UK. Yikes. If he's switched out co-writers for the same (more or less) lyrics, there's some precedence: Home is a Question Mark and Bengali in Platforms.

God forbid he tried something different.
He still thinks he's unique and pushing against the tide.
His set-lists are wishy-washy at best, from plodding musicians.
I appreciate he isn't a young guy anymore, so not expecting
somersaults.
Echoes of greatness, then crashing back down to Morrissey now.
There used to be a lot of respect out there for him, even the non fans that generally respected his uncompromising attitude.
That is no longer, he's seen as a pariah in the music industry.
The likes of Nick Cave will find some kind words occasionally, mainly
due to similar stubborn traits.
He used to get offered to guest on tracks, say the Gorillaz or Manics etc.
I personally think that would have been cool, but no he won't
entertain it, yet think he's a cutting edge artist, when the music is anything but.
Options to link back up with Stephen Street, just somebody/something to help breathe some life back in.
He could be where The Cure currently are, flying high....however he's done it ALL to himself.
I saw Nick Cave live recently, just brilliant with amazing musicians.
I aren't even a huge fan, more a distant admirer .

Sad times and he's not going to listen to anyone who doesn't blow plaudits up his posterior.
No sympathy.

Wasn’t one of them, however you are on repeat always. You, just you.
