Crashing Bores

Why was he ushered off stage mid-performance because of a few stage invaders? There have been stage invaders at nearly every show since 1983. He relishes it. Why can’t he suddenly take it?

I get the feeling Moz loves a stage invasion, and back when he was young and healthy, all were welcome. Now, he just wants his chosen ones he knows coming up on stage. He’ll even make an effort to touch / hug them. This just encourages others who think it’s fine to come on stage. That’s when Moz says I’ve had enough and leaves.

I completely understand why he doesn’t want to be manhandled by some random… so it’s time to tell security, no one on stage. I often wonder if even tells security who the lucky few are who are allowed up

This makes sense. But I think it should be communicated more clearly to the audience. And to cut the encore short isn’t really warranted.

He is looking great in these videos (like the grey suit too) - looks like a good show apart from the awful abrupt ending :guitar:
(thanks to the moron that ruined it for everyone else)
Awful to see someone got hurt - but happy Moz got away safely.

this year he said yes to a Smiths reunion, having once said that he'd rather eat his own testicles.
He said yes to touring with Marr under the 'Smiths' name. Not the same thimg as sharing the stage with Joyce (which would never happen). And of course Rourke is no longer with us.

I think he just trusts security, who are looking at the bigger picture? I doubt stage invasion, even the less considered attempts, are the real concern—given the current context.

Personally wish how soon didn’t make a return to the setlists
Overplayed & The band never do it justice.
I think every band has one or two songs they know they have to play because everyone wants to hear it. I agree this band can't play it. Bernard Sumner has said he never wants to play Blue Monday again but he knows people come to hear it, so he plays it.

It's still a major u-turn.

Not so long ago he publicly told Marr to stop mentioning him in interviews.

This year, he wanted to go back on stage with him.

Do you actually believe that?
It seemed more a way of forcing a reaction from Marr after the Farage tweet.

I don't think for a minute Moz would consider sharing a stage with Marr anytime soon.
