Morrissey Central "Madness." (December 1, 2024)

"Wikipedia confidently list me as an ex-member of Slaughter And The Dogs, and an ex-member of The Nosebleeds. I did not ever join The Nosebleeds and I have no connection whatsoever with Slaughter And The Dogs. Is there anyone at Wikipedia intelligent enough to set the record straight? Probably not." Morrissey Mad At Wikipedia, Claims He Was Never In The Nosebleeds Nor Slaughter And The Dogs

Morrissey says he has “no connection” with The Nosebleeds and Slaughter And The Dogs, despite claims on Wikipedia

One of my absolute favourite songs of his! (I realise this is a niche view...)
When I heard the line “I don’t get along with myself and I’m not too keen on anyone else”, when I was 17, I knew there was a fighting chance of survival. That is my Morrissey.

Went to see him in Battersea in '97 and bought a tee with a Southpaw scars and bruises picture on the front and noticed it was unusually long coming down past your arse. When you put it on written on the bit covering said arse was 'Wide To Receive'. Very funny Moz 😁

I thought something similar. It is not time to give some report and update things and explain what is false information, to tell us, to clarify us.... That he says what happened to him that made him cancel many, many places in 2023.Why doesn't he explain and get a little closer to people, his fans, and is sincere? What do you have to lose by doing so? The rings are not going to fall off. We are going to understand and love it more strongly. Moz, get off your horse and listen to what we ask of you. Why can't Morrissey open up more at this point in his life
He doesn’t give a f*** about ‘us’. Morrissey is fairly transparent about his indifference, and that’s as close as you’ll get to honesty and authenticity from a celebrity; so personally I’m grateful for that.

Morrissey will get off his high horse if/when he’s not Morrissey anymore.

You are not alone. I'll dial myself in via me old modem.
Unsolicited factoid… Al and Spen had practiced playing it for the recent acoustic shows they did supporting Modern English. They went with Lost as they were just more comfortable with it. Wouldn’t be surprised if they play WTR in the future. Al loves the tune.

It's absolutely gorgeous, it really is.

he is just setting the record straight,if it said he is married to a junkie with 6 kids none of us would believe that but someone who has never heard of him would think it was true because as we all know everything on the internet is true, cough cough.

During the trademark drama (“I alone came up with the words “the smiths” in 1982”) recently, he mentioned what Johnny wanted to call the band, and it was a detail I had never heard before. I’m just curious if anyone else has heard this? The name is god awful and I kinda get why Morrissey would be upset that the guy who wanted to call the band “ ____ ____” actually controls the trademark for “the smiths”.
That rings a bell but I can't remember. On a related note, In Set the Boy Free, Johnny states that he didn't like any of Morrissey's options: "On the card were three names written in blue biro: ‘The Smith Family’, ‘The Smiths’ and ‘The Walking Wounded’. I took a moment to consider as I didn’t know if I liked any of them, but I decided that ‘The Smiths’ was the one I disliked least, so I pointed to it. ‘OK then,’ said Morrissey with a smile and a bow of the head, ‘The Smiths it is."
