Morrissey you a bitch! I hardly go to concerts let alone get any days off of work....I wanted to enjoy myself with my wife and some old friends of hers. Concert barely started after waiting about an hour and a half in line. I can say that I hardly ever enjoy any concerts the last concert I went to see Morrissey Russell Brand was right in front of us and I couldn’t see shit. You’re the worst Morrissey you owe all your fans. Stop being a diva and stop being a cold little B.I.T.C.H.. You knew what the weather was going to be like and you should’ve been prepared and have given your fans their moneys worth. Youre Not what you were and you have to remember that! You should be remaining humble!
Lolol. Do you have a mirror. ?

You might have a point Gash, but I think it’s hard to ignore that Morrissey seems to be in his comfort zone when he’s dismantling his own successes (the recording contract coming just days ago): Fine, it’s his life, but it’s frustrating (and a shame) when the musical artistry increasingly becomes a sideshow and a platform for these self-defeating dramas.
It's an interesting point - and any Moz fan who has watched the ups and downs of his career will know what you mean. But these things do happen with live events.

Come on guys, are you really that surprised? He’s notorious for being such a little primadonna bitch, this isn’t exactly shocking behaviour for him. But Jesus, if you can’t handle performing a Los Angeles concert in some “chilly” weather, it’s probably time to hang it up; preforming live, that is… especially when it’s so bloody obvious, that they knew well in advance, it was gonna be a little chilly that night. The second night in? What a shambles!
If he considers that cold just imagine how much colder it is in the Midwest where he will allegedly be soon.

but are they outdoors?

What are the odds that the next two San Diego shows will be cancelled? I feel that they are pretty high.

glass half full then ?

As a long term Morrissey concert goer, you don't go to a show without a percentage in the back of your mind, that it may be canceled.
If it, he always makes up for it. I'm happy he tried, I now a 2nd morrissey concert out of thus.
Get well Morrissey, lived the set.
He doesn't always make up for it. He did a very short show on the Maladjusted tour (supposedly fell ill 30 minutes in) and there were no refunds and no rescheduled date.

From the front row it appeared two things were going on. His throat/voice were bothering him and he asked security to find him something warmer to wear. There were a few things brought out and waiting for him offstage and he left to change the shirt under his jacket at one point. Then it also appeared he had no sound from the foot speakers. He kept searching for a spot (pacing around in front of the drum when he wasn’t singing) where he could hear and ended up in an odd spot between Juan and Jesse but that spot wasn’t set up for the right lighting and the spotlight was blinding him. There was clear frustration during Jim Jim Falls. I think to carry on another hour without hearing either the music or himself would have been tough.

I’m from Boston. As a hearty New Englander who knows how to deal with this weather, it was f***ing cold. I had three layers on and was still shivering, my feet were ice. It’s one thing to commute or do your day to day in this cold, another to stand there freezing with no way to get warm for 3 hours (7:30 doors). I’m sad I didn’t get to see the rest of the show but I was uncomfortable and eager to get warm again too and as a fan who is also human, I want Morrissey to take care of his voice. I’m looking forward to the east coast shows and I’ll be here when it’s rescheduled. Onward…

There is a difference between being cold, and singing in the cold. Any voice coach will tell you that singing in cold, dry air is a sure recipe for losing your voice, especially if you're singing for an hour and thirty minutes as Morrissey would have been. There are another 13 shows to go in this tour. I reckon he was thinking about that when he decided to stop. Having to cancel a dozen shows because of a croaky voice would have been a real disaster. I'm sure he was as gutted as the audience was about having to stop. He does need to reschedule the show or ensure the audience gets a refund, that is clear. Respect for your fans is important. But other than that, time to chill out - like the California evening weather. Let's cut the guy some slack. He's not a performing monkey. These things happen.
Even if all that is true have the balls to come out and apologize to your fans. Refund? Re-do? OK, what about parking, gas, hours spent getting to the venue. They knew it would be cold, cancel beforehand.

think people on here forget that this is his actual job,in the uk if your place of work goes under a certain temperature due to lack of heating then you are within your rights to stop working.on here everyone is blaming M,blame the venue for their failure to get the stage heater working.
Why pick an outdoor venue in the first place then, if he's worried about losing his voice in cold conditions?

Maybe whoever set up the shows assumed the theater itself would have looked after that, considering it’s outdoors(?)

Totally obnoxious posts. Imagine the ignominy of having people who didn’t even go to the concert posting not once, but multiple times to complain about a concert they never even got up from their sofa for in the first place. Garbage pail kids behavior

Thanks, it’s nice to get a perspective and detailed information from someone that was actually there.

Why are people complaining? Thanks to the refund you got a FREE 9 song concert. The only folks with cause to complain are those who paid over the odds on secondary ticket sites, or who spent hundreds of dollars travelling in from far away - and in both cases you only have yourself to blame. It's Morrissey - of course there's a cancellation risk.

Can confirm as well. I was wearing a hoodie and a heavy jacket and it was without a doubt cold as hell. Apparently the stage heating system wasn’t fully working? Some of the people here are too angry. I drove from Arizona and I’m not even that mad. If this was typical primadonna shit, he wouldn’t have even come out on stage and cancelled altogether. He tried, it didn’t work out, but he tried. That’s all I can ask for. I’m sure he’s trying to salvage the other shows which is why he called it when he did.
