He needs a reality check. If he was ill and had to cancel, that's one thing but to go off stage because he was cold? I hope fans get refunds, though I doubt they will.

He has pulled stuff like this so many times, I think people were saying he was uninsurable at one point or would become uninsurable. I can't think of any other artist who does this and I can't remember any show I have bought tickets for being cut short like this and I do not remember any artists ever canceling or postponing except for pandemic related reasons.

This is on The Greek website now, just says postponed and will be rescheduled. Postponed usually means you can't get a refund, you can usually only get one if a show is canceled, tho when he did this when I saw him, you were given a choice of a refund or another show and I took a chance on another show and he did show up and do an entire show. People who were there tonight were talking to staff and were told the new show would be next year sometime.

It's so unprofessional. All the good will he'd built up with the uk tour....undone because he decided to act like a petulant child. If i was the promoter....I'd want to kill him.

There is a difference between being cold, and singing in the cold. Any voice coach will tell you that singing in cold, dry air is a sure recipe for losing your voice, especially if you're singing for an hour and thirty minutes as Morrissey would have been. There are another 13 shows to go in this tour. I reckon he was thinking about that when he decided to stop. Having to cancel a dozen shows because of a croaky voice would have been a real disaster. I'm sure he was as gutted as the audience was about having to stop. He does need to reschedule the show or ensure the audience gets a refund, that is clear. Respect for your fans is important. But other than that, time to chill out - like the California evening weather. Let's cut the guy some slack. He's not a performing monkey. These things happen.

You can be sick, perfectly normal, but the communication is just as disastrous as the messages on Central. Capitol has to put it's foot down or call in professionals if they really want to release the record in 2023.

Stop with the “I hope he’s ok” bs. It’s Morrissey. He does this shit all the time. I’ve been a fan for 35 years. I flew to LA for the show, as well as others around me. I’m guessing $1,800 all-in. He walks off the stage and he’s too much of a pussy to go on the stage and announce the show is over. He makes others do it.

Yes, I agree. He just blew it all up because people got screwed tonight and now everyone who has tickets to other shows are nervous about this because some have also paid for airfare and hotels, as well as very high prices for his tickets.
This is his job, people have to go to work when conditions are less than ideal, he should have finished the show.
The irony here is that he is one of the elites he likes to condemn, who does not care about the average person and what this costs for them.

seriously, when do people become patient again and await the official statement before they start whining and moaning online?! Get a f***ing life, ffs! The man clearly had throat problems. Should he continue because “you” are more important than his well being and the risk of having to cancel a tour after 2 (technically 1,5) nights?

And yeah I know some people traveled and apent I don’t know how much money but we (still) live in a free world, you don’t have to do that, it was your own choice.

I reckon I have an update for you. Upon speaking to the band in the VIP (non-foreign lunatic) Redwood Deck lounge, Morrissey ended the show because he felt he was going to lose his voice if he kept on singing in such cold temps. I reckon this is still not a valid excuse since everyone knew ahead of time what the weather would be like tonight. A refund or rescheduled show next year with tonight’s tickets still valid are the only acceptable outcomes. Courtside seats to his next Malibu Rec League basketball game will also suffice nnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnit mate

In the video above, it is clear from the very beginning that nothing good will come of it .
I hope the rest of the tour goes smoothly, , because after great concert in Ontario, it promises to be exciting. He also once stopped a concert after a few songs I was at.
