He is definitely my favorite drummer Morrissey has worked with.

The next 2 never played live.. Matt Chamberlain who is on Ringleader and has played on hundreds of albums over the years. Andrew Paresi does some really great things.

Spencer was pretty boring on Your Arsenal but somehow got lessons from Neil Peart or something and came back at a much higher level on Southpaw Grammar.

Woodie Taylor did some nice things on V&I.

Mike Joyce is excellent in The Smiths and is fine on Moz solo stuff but I'd be more interested in seeing him in a Smiths reunion which I know will never happen.

Dean Butterworth was fine. Probably better than I give him credit for but I didn't find his work that interesting.

Spike Smith was pretty meh.

Brendon Buckley is a great technical drummer but I think he holds back to let Morrissey really have the spotlight.

I'll have to hear Chad Smith on BoT to give him a rating but I do think he's a good drummer and he's fun to watch.

There are others like the guy from The Bravery (Eric Boulcovishakldkjq or something) who played on a tour and was pretty good but felt like outsiders and I can't even remember their names.

I love drums and I am a huge Matt Walker fan.
I kept telling my son to watch Matt at the first 2 shows. He really liked him...or just agreed with me because I'm his dad.. only he knows :)
Thanks for that run down of the holders of the Moz drum stool - and identifying Anthony Burulcich (Eric Boulcovishakldkjq :ROFLMAO:) for me.
But there is another live stand-in (around 2012 I think) I haven't identified yet.
Agree Matt Walker is just brilliant but I do like what Brendan was doing - and he carried things through the recent rocky period. And he looked cool.
Spence seems to get some digs here but I think he was just right for the early Rockabilly gang. He did develop with the music just a shame things went awry off stage. It was great to see him playing again recently.
You do wonder how things could've gone and still might. Alain was back for a while - and just now Solomon briefly. Vegas seems to shake things up.

That's probably Eric Gardner.

You've moved the top of my list of really-being-Morrissey-on-here. May well be good looking but why spend the equivalent of 10 weeks of my planet-saving food budget on a scarf? Disappointing. (Though it could have been a gift he received, or could have decided to buy something with the sole purpose of giving it to a fan, let's hope).

It's a good job you're not his accountant. I'm certain it would cause you at least 19 nervous breakdowns.

I haven't been through all the comments to know if this might have been already been brought up: in light of the Linder post of a short time back...is he singing this to/about her?

Quite possibly.

Linder's instagram has been static since May and was fairly regularly updated before then.

That - and the recent Central post - would suggest something is amiss.

well the people clapping at the end of each song dont think so.
trained seals clap too
and all the morons sing and sway, its as if he is talking about his own audience

Given that there has been Morrissey fans out and about in Vegas for about a week, I really do question this and there seems to not be a source
Wait, The Morrissey Mercury (the source) - that had a tagline of "edited by professional journalists" when it launched a year+ ago, that publish a fanzine, podcast, WhatsApp group and were "shortlisted for the hobbies and special interests category of the Publisher Newsletter Awards" would mislead their target audience with a fake story?
Heaven forfend.

That's probably Eric Gardner.

Ah thank you! That can at last be put to rest for me. I think the double bass drums of the time and Matt's look always changing was confusing me.

Glad Matt's head healed up in time for Vegas.
But what is going on with Camilla's fingers?

Think we do need a drummer thread.

Anyone know whether any fans tracked Morrissey down for a photo during his time in LV?

Perhaps he did not feel like playing easy to get.
