Oh, I think the media generally do indeed try to avoid everything 'middle aged white man' these days. But as the clip above demonstrates - people don't care about such things. They just want sincerity, and some truth. The same reason, of course, that the US electorate rejected the dumb DEI hire, and voted for Trump.

This seems like a non sequitur. Are there no middle aged white male artists signed to major record labels? If that is the case, then Morrissey isn't being "gagged" for his views, he's being snubbed for his age and complexion.

The clip demonstrates little other than that there are young people around the world who cover songs from the 80s and 90s. Suedehead is not exactly God or Like a Rolling Stone when it comes to "sincerity and truth." I'm sure somewhere in Brazil there's someone covering a Madonna song.

If he gave a f***, he’d sign with a decent indie label and get these two records out. Regardless of what label he’s on, a new Morrissey album will get a fair amount of press. Maybe he’d get a few more billboards and train station posters on a big label, but they’d just end up smothered in shite or with Hitler moustaches drawn on them.
