Alain Whyte gives 'Morrissey and Wine' podcast sneak peek at new Moz album

Alain Whyte, Moz's most prolific songwriter, appears on the latest episode of the 'Morrissey and Wine' podcast - out today. He reveals that the as-yet-unheard album 'Without Music The World Dies' has a 70s sound, 'Suspicious Minds' on the track listing is indeed a cover, which he says sounds great, and he tells us that Notre-Dame had extra lyrics which were cut out - plus plenty of other tidbits and stories.

We've also got Nanny Val back to react to 'The Operation', the ten-question trivia quiz returns and hosts Chris and George dissect the lyrics of one of Alain's tracks - 'Life is a Pigsty' from 'Ringleader of the Tormentors'.

Cheers everyone! 👋

Does the podcast mention if new Moz albums have a release date? Cos that's all I care about.
Yes, the 35th of Never, 1985

Not so much a sneak peak as yet another tease. Hearing even a few seconds would be a treat. Hearing a release date for either of the TWO finished lps would be a miracle. Neither will be released in 2024

Let's not forget Bowie cover's of "I Know it's Gonna Happen Someday" on his album "Black Tie White Noise"

I’m thinking it will be released eventually or maybe someday.

He talks about The Edges Are No Longer Parallel being his favourite Moz composition. It's a great song. One of my favourite Moz tracks too.
Alain also asks out loud the obvious question - I don't know why he doesn't just self release stuff to be honest. It would probably be much more profitable for him.
We are all wondering that, Alain.

at the start when they didnt know how to pronounce alain,,as alain has stated many times its the scottish spelling as alains dad was scottish and whyte is a very scottish name.

ps--alains middle name is gordon,,,,who would have thought.

More profitable but less prestigious for a man who admittedly lives out of time.

alains memory is as vivid as dirk blaggards.

Nice to hear Alain talk so positively about the new album, who knows he might get the chance to tour it in due time.

As soon as I saw Alain release the unreleased lockdown session of TEANLP I wondered if like last time he will then appear back in the band for the next show. But I guess it would mean Carmen stepping out? 😭
