I honestly think that Mozz has been board today, and he’s thought to himself,
I’ll put a list of songs out and watch all the
Suckers on Solo carry them selfs on, with bickering about their positions.
I only got to about number 15, then gave up
I nearly had a panic attack with the smiler
With knife stunt.
I can actually see this :lbf: How can I get these people going today?

The lists .. always the lists. Moz is Morrissey's self-centered enemy. I wonder why he insists on the lists, that stage is over. He already has a talented career. Calm down, lower your ego. The tranquility and poise of a great singer. Enough of hysteria. Enough of cancellations, leave everything on stage. If you cancel, he explains, the audience that loves you deserves respect.... I am included

Where is The Queen Is Dead?
Lyrically packed and unrivalled...or the poetry of This Charming Man?

Only 7 Smiths songs
7 seems about right. If you include his two unreleased albums, that's 14 solo albums (can't include California Son of course) and 4 smiths albums. The smiths is less than a quarter of his career output, and it gets just less than a quarter amount of representation on the list. I'd say it's pretty fairy distributed. Besides, if he thought most his best work was in the first five years of his career, why bother carrying on?

Not only will some of you not allow Morrissey to have his own political opinions, you’re now moaning because he has a different opinion about his own songs than you do.

All much ado about nothing anyway. We all know that the messages from Morrissey on the Messages from Morrissey page on MorrisseyCentral are not actually written by Morrissey, but by his nephew who, in turn, gets his information from an estate agent on the Isle of Wight.

I need him to like what I like so I can feel closer to him. He is my twin flame.

My favourite lines from any song ever (and something of a personal mantra to me) are: 'It's so easy to laugh, it's so easy to hate/It takes strength to be gentle and kind'. This thought has got me through some really bad times, so I'm a bit sad not to see I Know It's Over on the list.

Cambridge dictionary definition of self-fulfillment:
a feeling of satisfaction that you have achieved what you wanted

So I guess he really does think these are his best lyrics. Or most accomplished, at least. That is if he uses the word correctly.

These lyrics are handed over to us from M. It’s up to us to use them in the way we want. The songs saved me in my teens and meant a lot all along. I am grateful for the feelings they have brought to me.

Redacted reminded me...
I'm only surprised Rubber Ring isn't on this list.

Don't forget the songs that made you cry, and the songs that saved your life.
Yes, you're older now, and you're a clever swine... but they were the ONLY ONES who ever stood by you
.

Never forget this, you clever swines you....

I contend that Smiler With Knife is autobiographical, hence why it means so much to him. Remember the time he went around wearing baggy trousers?

Misguided trousers!
