Casual fans aren't even seeing the clickbait. I've never seen a single piece of clickbait about The Cure or Depeche Mode, as I'm just not interested in them beyond attending the odd concert.
Presumably you don't consider Uncle Skinny to be a casual fan?

Don’t know, Morrissey is quite a different artist. So to put it simply, casual fans of M are a little more invested than casual fans of the musical acts you mentioned. Ok if you don’t want to label them as ‘casual’ that’s fine. But they obviously were not that devoted in the first place if they now care more about what other people and strangers think of their personal record collection.

it only killed off the casual fans.

Lovely shirt! That says everything to me about my political standing. My political standing: I don't give a fk, just leave me and mine alone. Maybe I should care, but really.. I don't. Maybe one day. Maybe not.

it was a political party called for britain, they were against animal cruelty, female genital mutilation, but were leaning towards the far right,he wore the badge and was slaughtered for it.dont even know if it exists anymore.
Well being against those sounds good to me! As for the division (aka sides), I still get left and right mixed up, I don't know what either of them mean and every time it's explained to me I forget. *Shrug* 😂

Politics aren't my bag, baby. I only see politics as division of the people. So on that note, I'm just going to be quiet about it... Except, I will only say this: I do believe that every person on earth, with their own thoughts, bodies, families, cultures, and passions have every right to believe what they want to believe without being chastised. All this division is sad and, for some reason, is accepted by society.. it's the norm.. I just don't understand why we do this to ourselves. & I never will, I never will... Never will..

“ The far-right activist Anne Marie Waters left UKIP and formed For Britain after she and her supporters were described as "Nazis and racists" by Henry Bolton and UKIP's former leader Nigel Farage. The name is taken from her UKIP leadership campaign slogan, "Anne Marie For Britain". Waters said that the party would "speak to the forgotten people".[3] On 9 March 2018, For Britain registered with the Electoral Commission, a requirement for any political party wishing to put up candidates in elections and to solicit donations for campaigns, as "The For Britain Movement".[1]

The party received the support of Tommy Robinson, the former leader of the English Defence League.[2] Its platform includes reducing Muslim immigration to the UK to near zero, and to "bring the entire EU project down".[8]Sean O'Driscoll, writing in The Timesafter Waters had announced her intention to form a party, but before it had been launched, described the proposed party as intending to fill the space left by the demise of the British National Party (BNP).[9] In November 2017, the far-right British nationalist political party Liberty GB merged into For Britain.[10] In April 2018, the singer-songwriter Morrissey declared his support for For Britain.[11]

It’s strange how so many people on this website declare it’s not a big deal that Moaning Myrtle supported them.

Because obviously it is a big deal.

To all his so-called fans, casual or otherwise, if you don’t think fascists or racists are a problem, that means you probably are both.

Don’t know what those two clowns are going on about, but Morrissey’s comment is a bit clumsy, and as usual with no further explanation. Unfortunately we can only speculate at exactly what he means by it. My take is that because of familiarity and conditioning, it’s simply true that ‘people do prefer their own race’. But that preference doesn’t exclude a person from respecting and showing love for others. If this preference is something that some feel needs to be ‘corrected’ then that’s open to debate.

Now, if he said... People prefer to be with their own race because they believe their race is superior to other races, well that then can be seen as a racist belief.

But, Morrissey didn’t say that.

He doesn't want England to become a Muslim shit hole. I think it's great!

Brought it all on himself.
I listened (again) to his autobiography on audible recently.
It’s mostly him complaining and complaining and moaning and complaining.
It’s never ever his fault.

When has he actually said anything about Muslim immigration?

“I’d do anything for my Muslim friends.”

I wonder when the next Styxenhammer666 video will be uploaded to Morrissey Central.

Remember those cringeworthy days? And Con-vid instead of Covid?

I mean really, Morrissey’s fall from grace was bigger than Lucifer’s.

Whenever I hear/read M mentioned in a negative racial space, I know that artist (famous person or whatever) is doing their little “make sure to make a comment about Morrissey being racist” CHECK DONE ok I passed this social marker to make sure I am still accepted.
