Wasn't this pic used in a review he posted for a movie about the Smiths, where he said "I laughed, I cried, I ate my own head" or something like that? It makes me laugh every time I see it.
Flauta de piel.
Alain hermoso volveQue vuelva Alain.
Morrissey of 1/3 of a century ago had already made quite a splash, and turned more than just a few heads. Morrissey of today is infinitely superlative, in every conceivable way. Here's a fraction for you: his quiff is about 1/16th as thick as it was 1/3 of a century ago!
Looks like Brendan is keeping busy so might be a new drummer which would be a shame as thought he was excellent.
Yes but it's not him 'playing with words'. The post is from the keyboard player.Don't hang me but there is an alternative reading of all this...
Don't hang the wedding DJ!
- Damon is in the photo.
- Moz is holding his hand in a funny way - not your typical 'thumbs up'.
- 'New band alert' could mean a wedding band (i.e. wedding ring, as in ring a doorbell)
- We all know how Moz loves playing with words.
- Moz married Damon
There is yet another reading of this....maybe Moz is indeed recruiting a new member, possibly someone fairly famous. From Wikipedia:
Laurel Canyon became a nexus of counterculture activity and attitudes in the mid-late 1960s and early 1970s, becoming famous as home to many of L.A.'s rock musicians, such as Cass Elliot of the Mamas & the Papas; Joni Mitchell; Frank Zappa; Jim Morrison of The Doors; Carole King; The Byrds; Gram Parsons; Buffalo Springfield; Canned Heat; John Mayall; members of the band The Eagles; the band Love; Neil Young; Brian Wilson of The Beach Boys as well as James Taylor, Jackson Browne, J. D. Souther, Judee Sill, Linda Ronstadt and Stone Poneys, Ned Doheny, Bonnie Raitt, Harry Nilsson;[42] and Micky Dolenz and Peter Tork of The Monkees.
Although..errr...a lot of them are dead.
Exactly it’s not a M Central post it’s from Cam . The new band was her new band ,Ms band . Not Ms new band, so is this from last year ?Yes but it's not him 'playing with words'. The post is from the keyboard player.
Yeah old news is no news...Exactly it’s not a M Central post it’s from Cam . The new band was her new band ,Ms band . Not Ms new band, so is this from last year ?
In fairness, has there ever been a pic where Damon isn't looking so concerned?...To me it looks like there was a doorbell cam along their way and M was playing around like "Oh, they're recording, I make a funny gesture". Maybe that's why Damon is looking so concerned, as if he doesn't know if he has to intervene with the shenanigans. Jesse is also looking slightly confused. Seems like only M had a funny moment...
Fecking too right. This has turned out to be a bad year M wiseYeah old news is no news...
Yeah it's been bleak alright. We're a few albums in the grave and more reissues due than you can poke a stick at.Fecking too right. This has turned out to be a bad year M wise
Some of the wife’s friends in the industry told me he would have an lp out, that was months ago . I’m actually in Los Angeles working now , nobody seems to know anything. Lol. I’m looking forward to getting back to the UK and going to a few suede and Manics gigs
He's at my house. We had tea and talked about Dana Gillespie.
I'm over the Morrissey concert experience at the moment. There's been too many cancellations and finger crossing in hopes that'll he'll show up. We need new music and albums or retirement.i think it feels like hes turned a corner health wise, hes looking fit and healthy and the slimmest hes been in a while.there will be concerts because that is his job,he cant roam the planet for months at a time,he lives an extravagant lifestyle and that takes money.
yip totally agree, when you buy a ticket for a concert its like a contract between you and the performer, only under serious circumstances a performer should always show up and fulfil his part of the agreement.I'm over the Morrissey concert experience at the moment. I dunno. I loved seeing Moz at Brixton Academy in 2022. But I live in London so it wasn't far to travel. I definitely wouldn't travel far to see a Morrissey show, or book a hotel stay. But if he played in London again, yes, I would buy a ticket. Especially if the setlist was more as yet unheard songs from Without Music. Or new songs entirely.yip totally agree, when you buy a ticket for a concert its like a contract between you and the performer, only under serious circumstances a performer should always show up and fulfil his part of the agreement.
Yes. I think you may be right. I think it may be a bit of health and maybe the money just isn't there to make it worthwhile for him to test his health.i think it feels like hes turned a corner health wise, hes looking fit and healthy and the slimmest hes been in a while.there will be concerts because that is his job,he cant roam the planet for months at a time,he lives an extravagant lifestyle and that takes money
