It's not just the omission of some of his greatest lyrics ever but it is the stubborn inclusion of songs that he knows are not up to his standards. Why he feels the need to troll people is weird, he is only slighting or discrediting his best work, which again, is weird.
Agreed, the inclusions are far more offensive than the ommissions.

Bowie used to do that, didn't he, on some fan forums?
yes on his site BowieNet …

‘Members received an @davidbowie.com-ending email address and had exclusive access to audio recordings, music videos and chat rooms, which Bowie participated in himself. Bowie went by the moniker "Sailor" in chat. He would appear unannounced and talk, with a special guest sometimes joining in, and on the site he would upload personal photos as well as images of his paintings and some of his journals. "Sailor" is an anagram of "Isolar", after which Bowie named his 1976 and 1978 world tours.’

Which he loved
I won’t share you
Late Might on maudlin strret
Death or a disco dancer
And stretch out and wait

Then play them all in Vegas!

Just relistened to the Father Who Must Be Killed... it's actually worse than I remember! But hey, much better lyrics than I Know It's Over.

Just be thankful he didn't include Art-Hounds, truly his lyrical nadir. There are some interesting inclusions/scandalous omissions etc. It's not like he's going to play the majority of these songs live again anyway, so what's the purpose behind this post? #Reelaroundthefountain

You can't say the list is wrong I suppose, because it's his personal opinion, and he's allowed it like everyone else, but...any list with lyrical prowess as a centre point that has Spent The Day in Bed on it, and no Maladjusted, or nobody loves us, amongst many others, is wrong , an opinion he's allowed but has a great man once said I'm right, and he's wrong.

My guess is that Morrissey means these are songs he could still sing with conviction as representing emotions or points of view he still holds. For example, The Never Played Symphonies doesn't seem to have been sung live for nearly twenty years, but the sentiments fit with a reflective person of mature years. Conversely, for example, Came Back to Camden is pure poetry, but might not sit well with how Morrissey feels nowadays.

So many of his songs i love that no list, written either by Morrissey or anybody else, could ever even begin to encompass how they move me or how he touches me

Notre Damn
