Morrissey Central "ONCE THERE WAS A WAY" (December 5, 2024)

Once, there was a way to get back homeward...

Unless I'm as sadly mistaken as someone who still believes Hilaire Belloc to be alive, a UK/Ireland tour announcement is imminent. I'm hoping.🤞

Exactly - I started to sing Golden Slumbers, too. I believe he will be there soon! Hopefully in the early part of the year.

Nothing is stopping you from doing an instore. Other than having to face questions.
he did an in-store for aurobiography and nobody asked any questions, just signed their books and a few words were exchanged and everyone went home happy.

Yes, most music stores are gone - although Amoeba in Hollywood would be a great option. Yet there are more ways to reach your audience now. He's just not interested.

As an example, if it sells out he could livestream the NYE show.
The Cure livestreamed their album launch at The Troxy for free. Great concert.

There still are record stores. Perhaps not the massive premises of old but they're still there. Spindizzy in Dublin, etc.

Not true. I asked him for a hug, and he happily complied. 😎

Memories, pressed between the pages of my mind
Memories, sweetened through the ages just like wine

Look up news coverage of his signings in LA, Houston and Michigan in 1992 on YouTube

Imagine an instore in 2025 where every single person doesn’t ask him about the two unreleased albums. I can’t either.

Jesus Murphy are we really that ugly?

Had my involvement continued, I had all sorts of suggestions for his off days on this past tour. We def could have done one in Buffalo. Doesn’t matter there wasn’t a new release. He knows what he needs to do to promote himself, he just doesn’t do any of it.

Note the beginning of him using his Instagram again in July was him being shown the 1992 Houston Instore news clip while backstage in Vegas on July 27 and posting it.

Because he saw that, mentioned the anniversary of Your Arsenal right when he walked on stage that night. “Happy Your Arsenal Anniversary, Darling!”

He could do Meet and Greets. Johnny did one here in Boston, 25 tickets only at $100 each. We bought tickets, I got sick and had to stay home, but my husband went and said Johnny was signing Smiths and his solo albums, taking pics, chatting with people. He smiled when my husband asked him to sign a Smiths ticket stub and said well, this is an old one, isn't it?
Point being, there's a lot more he could be doing that does not take a lot of effort.

That's perfect. Something that would show that he is not selfish... A way to clean up the "fiasco" said by Morrissey himself, which were the cancellations. How good a vindication would be...

Of course there are record shops. Obviously not as many as there used to be, but they do exist. And he could do an in-store. But can he be arsed?

why would he do an in-store with nothing to promote.
he may as well nip into his local hmv and browse the jobriath section.
