Morrissey Central "My dearest love." (October 27, 2024)

I always wondered how his carreer would end. Well, now I know. He f***ed up one too many times and now no one will touch him ever again.

Albums that will never see the light of day, lacklustre tours in small venues that won’t sell out and a little bit of Smiths drama.

It is truely over. The Hindenburg has crashed to earth.

Notre Damn!!

He's limping along surrounded by Yes men and has no one to challenge him creatively. Alan could have possibly helped to right the ship, but that lifeline is gone. I'll be amazed if this next tour concludes without cancellations.

The story is old, I know
But it goes on

Reports of Morrissey's demise have been greatly exaggerated. Speaking as someone who has been around a while I can confirm that ever since I have admired Morrissey there has been a vocal section of his fanbase claiming it to be "over". This was the case during the Smiths and at every stage of the jouncy since. Morrissey is 65 years young, He has achieved many things and continues on his merry way. It is not over. Maybe its just over for you.

I don't think it's over exactly but it's not in a good place and hasn't been at least since this BOT fiasco - some would claim even longer. It just seems less and less likely that he'll course correct. He's proven to be resilient and could quickly turn things around but he's unwilling. I'm not going to bother listing all the reasons for feeling this way, but if you've been following along you already know them.

Perfectly said. Turn out the lights, we can all go home now.

It ended with the World Peace fiasco.

Good grief. Alain Delon was such a gorgeous man. He met Maryanne Faithful and Mick Jagger at a party one night and chatted mostly with Maryanne. She was quite taken away. It’s all over her face and Mick looked like he was sinking in his seat. Poor guy.

But I think Mick was handsome, too. ❤️

Anyway, I really enjoyed this, @smiler. Can’t wait for the next one!

Genuine question for those who don’t like Morrissey and haven’t for a long time - why are you still here? I don’t get the appeal of hate-following an artist when you could just leave them in the past and put on some new music.

Oi Smiler…. What’s next?
Are you working on anything now?
Thanks for asking - Honestly no. Although I do enjoy annoying the haters. I have run out of stream somewhat. I hope there is some good footage taken at the gigs so I can do some more multi-camera edits, I enjoy those.. There is a couple of songs I'd like to do but I need to find the right images that match, Shame is the Name and Blue Dreamers Eyes for example, but I'd rather wait to be inspired than rush.

We are here to destroy him and hurt him. You know, like in the song that he wants to do to others
