This tour has seen him looking rejuvenated.
What has he changed in his lifestyle? (No lame humor, por favor).
Obviously, I don't know... but maybe it's because he's making headway on getting his albums released. Maybe he appreciates that despite all his cancelations last year and early this year there is still a loving audience that will come out to see him. While I think it's a bit early for a victory lap, it's nice to see that he's done all the shows so far.

I agree and I wish. I think the problem is that some think they're upping their Morrissey Loyalty Points by dumping on Johnny. Usually, it just looks petty.
These two boys were both born from the same mother known as The Smiths so what's the gain in backing either one to beat the other guy? I don't agree with everything that either of them says and have heard some seriously stupid things come out of both their mouths but as far as I'm concerned they both get a pass for what they've given to pop culture.

I've softened on Joyce too whereas I used to back Morrissey against him every time but for whatever reason it seems like energy not well spent worrying about their past issues they had/have with each other.

agree marred, animosity usually thaws with age,im sure if he bumped into joyce they would have a chat as both of them dont have decades left on this unhappy planet.

He's strung together a few shows in tiny auditoriums the size of those which look like the ones used for 7th grade productions of Oklahoma! and he didn't cancel. Not once! A true professional and he should be proud!
That's what made the night, small elaborate beautiful theater with charm and gorgeous venues

I know that he’s done massively sold out shows before, like the Hollywood bowl and etc etc! but maybe, the reason why he cancelled so much over the years, is because he got terribly nervous or something because he hasn’t really faced it for so long? I know it sounds like a pathetic excuse but maybe he drank a little to try and ease the nerves and then sometimes happened which caused the cancellation? so maybe that’s why he prefers the smaller venues because it’s much more cosy and less pressure and probably less press? maaayyybeeeee?
No.

He’s completing all these show because he needs record companies to see that he can actually promote new material, hence the headline in this thread.
I think promoters and insurance companies are just as important right now - the message is 'look guys - I can tour successfully without cancelling!'. Maybe that's why no further dates beyond this US tour have been announced yet - he must have burned so many people in the past, they could be waiting to see how this one goes before committing to spending money on him again.

I very well doubt that, he is still Morrissey, one of the most iconic singers ever.....and trust me they had over 40 years to see that he still sells out ......even after all these years....so no they are not waiting, they have to get everything in order, schedules, venues, lot of items to get in line. But right now it's the USA dates to contend with

After the touring fiasco of last year and even January of this year, does a 14-date tour give all that much assurance? Don't get me wrong, it's great to see him out there playing shows and the audience enjoying it. But if the point of this is for onlookers: record labels, promoters, etc. it's probably going to take more to restore his reputation with them. As I said earlier, it's a bit early for a victory lap as we haven't finished yet.

It's great to see him healthy and in good voice but this setlist that he's dragging out night after night is mundane to say the least.

Yes, there was hope, that he would at least wait until after the tour with the "Look at me, I'm still a box office hit" posters.

who knows if these shows will have any bearing on him getting a release with an established record company, for me he looks like hes enjoying himself and the crowds are enjoying the shows,in a years time we might still be wondering about bonfire and without music and wondering if we will ever hear them.will 2025 be the year when we walk down the street with new music on our phones or in our homes, who knows just enjoy the ride.

The venues you keep referring to as high school gyms and tiny auditoriums are quite nice, some of them destinations in their own rights.

Have you ever been to a large venue where most of the audience stood standing (or seated) with those clear plastic cups of booze, getting a buzz on, disconnected from the stage show because of the booze and vastness of the venue? It can really backfire to go bigger. Sure, who wouldn’t love a bigger Moz orgy, but really now, Johnnie Ray, tell us: is bigger always better?

Seriously, what larger venues do you think speak the kind of success you have in mind?

I live in a town with a large coliseum in Greensboro, NC where BIG names used to routinely perform. Down the road, we have Charlotte in one direction and Raleigh in the other, boasting even larger venues now - both outdoor and indoor. No one really performs in these venues anymore except Taylor Swift, and truly most artists now go to Atlanta or Washington DC to these “little auditoriums” or auxiliary-sized venues you keep referring to. When was the last time you attended a concert in a huge venue, where was it and who was performing? I am curious, seriously.

So sitting around in Germany, it bothers your life this much, that somewhere, elsewhere on planet earth, someone whose concerts you also once attended is quietly continuing to see to his own profession and to his own website and to his own career, and living his life as he chooses? This affects you enough that your first instinct is to leave a snide comment here because he posted some images from his current tour on his own website? Get help
