Morrissey appears to be his true self only when on stage and pouring his heart into his songs and performance and I'm hoping against hope that that will help him weather yet another storm and muster the strength to not cancel the upcoming tour.

I was thinking that earlier today before reading of this latest bombshell. He really does seem to be at his happiest when faced with that front row to interact with. You can even tell the difference in him when the gap is greater and he's unable to touch any outstretched hands. It just seems as soon as he's away from the stage and those fans all bets are off, with everything.
I was hoping things were about to calm down for a bit. Now this .

At this point, most ironically, it's a Smiths reunion (OK, a Morrissey and Marr reunion) that would resurrect any interest in old Mozzer. Renewed public attention might even encourage the release of the unheard albums, when a new wave of Smithmania hits. But he's so stubborn this'll never happen, so it's back to his own echo chamber.

The other night in bed I got the melody of KMAL stuck in my head and recognised what a strong song it actually is; like it actually commands attention. Then I thought of the single artwork and the music video and got sad.
