To update the (so far) very incomplete list of managers, we have:

- His mother
- Joe Moss
- Ken Friedman
- Murray Chalmers
2004-2008: Merck Mercuriadis (there was also a woman named Sarah (or Jennifer) I think? She was present during the Russel Brand radio show)
2008: Irving Azoff
2008: ie:music
2011: Ron Lafitte
2012: no manager, but tour-manager Donnie Knutson to be addressed regarding the manager issue or the recording deal issue as per TTY post of 4th March 2012)
- William Morris Agency
2017-2021: Peter Katsis
2021-?: Quest Management
-2024 ?
2024: Red Light Management/Pete Galli Management
Wasn’t she Deborah?

I'm wary of jumping to conclusions as it may have happened for other reasons, but the timing does make it look like he's blaming the management for not sending the letter through / making sure it was passed on from whoever his reps were before Red Light. Which seems... cautiously positive?

Unless... the management has actually dispensed with him, as a result of the recent situation. I wouldn't discount that either.
Can one be cautiously positive/optimistic? Asking for a friend :)

I really hope that for the sake of Moz reputation Red lights have f***ed up, because if they haven’t and they come out and speak 🙈
I can’t forget what happened with the Supreme campaign!

This article surprised me and I gave The Guardian $3 to show my appreciation. It quoted these words from Morrissey in an open letter to Marr, and I know they are sincere. Marr promotes leather and suede shoe making company Yogi. Meat is Murder, really Johnny?

“You know nothing of my life, my intentions, my thoughts, my feelings. Yet you talk as if you were my personal psychiatrist with consistent and uninterrupted access to my instincts.” - Morrissey

Special shoes for a special prince Marr.

Another one bites the dust! How many managers has he had now?
Not sure how many. Moz needs Grady from The Shining to manage him.

Grady to Moz:
"Perhaps Johnny needs a good talking to, if you don't mind my saying so. Perhaps a bit more. My last band I managed, sir, they didn't care for the reunion at first. One of them actually stole a pack of matches, and tried to burn the offer down. But I "corrected" them sir. And when the lawnmower parts tried to prevent me from doing my duty, I "corrected" them."

No Morrissey IG repost stories since 10am UK time (~14 hrs).
Red Light appear to have done a tiny, tiny bit more than the Fan Art Friday of Quest Management - which was about double that of BMG's 'efforts' in the latter part of their time with him.
This does raise the question: are people's expectations of what an artist manager is meant to do actually reflective of what happens in reality?
FWD.

Why are you advertising Johnny's shoes for him? He's probably having a giggle and shaking his head right now about his old mate.

Because Liam Gallagher actually has a pretty big output, especially compared to Morrissey and especially with the huge, sell-out Oasis tour coming up.

Morrissey has a few gigs in 2,000 capacity venues coming up, that's it. No albums to release, no interviews, no real active social media (his "official" Instagram account is rubbish), nothing.
most managers will take 10 percent does this mean 4 managers 40 percent.

Is Moz going to fire the management from 2018 too? ;)
This is the correct question.

No one should be obligated to give him the benefit of the doubt, or to say that it's possible that he was purportedly unaware of the joint offer, or the warning in 2018. There's nothing to say that Marr had his contact information his personal contact information, or even if he did whether Morrissey would have picked up the phone or answered the email in any case.

He has been a professional recording artist since longer than I've been alive. It is possible that he has had several bad managers and betrayals, but that does not absolve him of baseline competence in the industry in's been for 40 years , particularly because he still wants that record contract money. None of this speaks to any level of professionalism or awareness on his part. Trusting people is one thing but you have to do your due diligence and resist the urge to be bloviating blowhard all the time
