Fiona Dodwell: "Misunderstanding Morrissey: Sparks and the steady drip, drip, drip of slander" (July 15, 2020)

"One wonders whether the vocal Morrissey detractors have delved much beyond the surface of NME's clickbait headlines and the lefty identity politics of formerly reputable publications like The Guardian."

And? Many non mainstream artists with actual global star power can at least chart in the top 50 at least, take your excuses somewhere else...
Yes, but they're not interesting in any way. They're production line run of the mill mainstream blandities. Morrissey is special - and he speaks his mind without caring who he offends. I like that. It tickles me greatly. Nobody else in the public eye has the balls to do this.

Moz has a semi sizable but rather declining diehard fanbase that will support him no matter what while the GP is still over him but I applaud you guys for the effort...

just stating the facts, facts of love.

which has little to do with sales, charts and ratings.

So with the likes of Bjork, Bob Dylan & Kate Bush who have all were never been mainstream yet their last albums charted in various charts around the world thus their not interesting because of that, wtf?

Charts? Morrissey is an alternative artist. He's not Beyonce or Katy Perry.

lol. for an "alternative artist" he is way too much obsessed with charts. A sicko!

Top 5 in Poland! Woohooo! (never happened in real tho)

If he denounces and apologize for supporting that alt right cult, I’m WILLING to take back my negative opinions on Moz, it’s that simple.
I see that you are beggining to regret your attitude towards Morrissey, and now want him to apologize, so that you can take back your negative opinions on him.

Well, if you really understood Morrissey, you'd know that's never going to happen.

Therefore, you might as well give up the idea of becoming a Moz fan.

I really don't think he likes people thinking he's racist though. Fighting cultural relativism badly, isn't the same thing as wanting people gone or hating based on skin colour.

And I can't find it funny when he looked so awful.

Going by Fiona, they're only grasping the problem now. And they still don't have a decent exit strategy.
