Morrissey needs Marr right now.
And tbh Marr needs Morrissey. He's hardly setting the world alight.

"Morrissey & Marr" needs to be a thing for both their sakes. Bury the hatchet. Write new music together. Play shows together which are part duo - just Moz with Marr on electric guitar - and the other set a full band....

Including Craig Gannon, Alain, Andrew Paresi/Mike and someone who can play Andy's bass lines.

Morrissey needs to ditch his new band and have a complete rethink. It's time for olive branches... Or both of them risk fading away.

Johnnys doing just fine, I saw him playing to 5k people in December at one of the two sold out Manchester shows and I am seeing him at the sold out Hammersmith show later this year. I would like to see some sort of Morrissey/Marr thing to happen but with new material as well as old stuff as I’m intrigued to what they could create nowadays.

He would need the unconditional, uncritical support of the masses. He still sees himself as the great artist, who fills the biggest halls, should have TV dates and sells records en masse. Slander and smear campaigns by others prevent him from doing so.

Due to poor sales, the concerts are canceled.

What a joke: this failure was predictable.
This album -bar the two first singles- is musically average with a dated production. it is not well rated by music listeners on RateYourMusic.com. Billing concerts with only this record at the programme was doomed frm the start.

Perth was sold out months in advance, he was already over there, and still he cancelled.

I think it’s safe to assume cancellations aren’t always due to poor sales.

Marr's doing very well these days. The suggestion that a Smiths reunion was 'inevitable' was the perception that Johnny had no credible/sustainable post-Smiths career. It's a very different story now, let alone the current woke wave against M - JM wouldn't go near that and why would he?! Besides, The Smiths died with Andy sadly, no stand-in would ever do it justice. And that's before we consider the drummer lol

Of course, but it goes with the profession. They signed up for it. And they’ll get over it, or quit. They’ll be fine, I wouldn’t lose too much sleep over them if I were you Surface, etc.

Anyway, they learned some songs that they can still do if he chooses, and they get and I assume got paid to learn rehearse the songs.

For a musician, that’s not such a bad life.

I don’t lose any sleep over anything apart from family stuff but thanks for the advice, it’s appreciated.

Marr does not need Morrissey.
Marr gets on with what he has to do, without the Drama, or hate that Morrissey constantly spews out.
After seeing JM December gone, he was a true professional.
He turned up, played the hits that the fans
Wanted, along with his newer offerings.
I’m not surprised JM left The Smiths all them years ago.
It’s only us suckers that hang on to Morrissey, not for much longer tho.
He has annoyed the very backbone of loyal fans for far too long now.
Very rarely now do I listen to Morrissey songs now.

No problem.

:tiphat:

Unforseen circumstances = skill less current band. Poor M, he tried til the last minute to get them in tune, but they failed. Why try again and again with these "musicians"? Bums.
He needs a complete new band.

Hahahahahahaha
Oh my god. Another one, again.

M will Never reunite with the dwarf minded little John.
But keep waiting, keep waiting (in vain).

1 reason explaining why these shows are canceled.
He looked at the calendar this morning... and realized that these dates didn't match for an appropriate anniversary, as YATQ was released far later in year 2004 ! Oh well, he never learns

They're playing "Alma matters " on german radio hr1 at the very moment. Something they normally never do. That's emotional, really. What a great song ,what a fantastic band what a wonderful period to be a Morrissey fan, then.
It is my life to ruin my own way. Indeed.
Hold on to your memories of the better days.

Apparently… it’s because the band hasn’t rehearsed the songs. I wonder who’s behind this. None of the members from quarry are in the band now. And I’m sure that’s a blow to the ego of a very sensitive guitar player….
So what the f*** have they been doing.during the 6 or so weeks the gigs were announced.

Had he put a 30th anniversary of Vauxhall on the programme or even a 40th anniversary of Hatful of Hollow, the tickets would have been gone like hot cakes!

M overpasses The Smiths, and that's a fact.
And if someone kept The Smiths legacy alive is M, not the dwarf little john, he just started playing the old tunes when finally realized that his whole career post Smiths was a fiasco, always playing as the background of another major artist, Bernard Summer, Modest Mouse, The Cribs, The The, etc.
Little john really needs desperately M, that's why he always talks shit about M, clickbait.

Do you actually realize that he may have anything to do with the cancelation ?!! it might be the promoter who pulled the plug because the two tickets for the price of one offer wasn't enough to attract more people in the last ten days ?
