Actually - this one is better for Morrissey to cover
co-written by Alain Whyte with Madonna.

I am a Madonna fan & have all of of her albums and 12 inch singles too - she is the soundtrack to my life in a way - she writes ballads that are stunning & she has paved the way for many female artists that have followed. Even Miley & Beyonce have acknowledged this. She has done a lot for women's rights, particularly in the music industry. She is a smart business woman on top.

Madonna also has high regard for the arts & theatre. She has acknowledged Alain Delon, and has introduced her fans to great music like Nina Simone, and artists like Frida Kahlo & countless others. She is also very much an advocate for gun laws to be changed in the US due to all the shootings and I can see her sliding right in there with Morrissey for BOT - she would not give a rats A$$ as she is vocal on these topics herself and is her own person. I would not even mind betting that with her on that album a record label would want to pick it up.

In fact the thought of it just gets me super excited because I can see the Madonna fans jumping all over that and Morrissey getting some great exposure along the way.

Morrissey in fact acknowledged her in a positive way in more recent interviews & yes, Prince too.
Whom I am also a mega fan of.

Everyone has the right to their opinion and to change it - even Morrissey.

Now the photos he has posted on Central - he looks happy in them and I love the flower spray on his lapel - that is soooooo cool ...................fabulous as always -

Perhaps Morrissey will cover 'La Isla Bonita' (Terrific Madonna song btw)

The window for that one was probably during the Manzur/Lopez/ “dad rock with world music flourishes busted flush” phase. You’re right, it’s a great song, but I think Oh Father is her best, and might be more suited to Morrissey’s voice (if we’re half-fantasizing about what always would have seemed the unthinkable: Morrissey covering Madonna).
