Vegas Setlist Predictions (2024)

This video is coming up on 4 million views!
I think people have to seek out Johnny if they want to hear the songs being played correctly, plus it's really good!

I thought that was some dig - but it's true. Carmen should definitely watch it.
Carmen should buy her, Tobias and Camilla a one-way ticket to somewhere else. They're useless.

He really, really needs to dust down Back to the Old House.

There's always hope. I never thought we'd see him sing anything from Kill Uncle ever again, then all of a sudden he brings back Our Frank.

You never know with old Mozza.
our frank was because alain was back in the band and thats his favourite song,it might still get played.

Our Frank is unbelievably overrated and very dull. He should bring back the rockabilly version of SYL, or resurrect Asian Rut, Family Line or Driving Your.

Jack the Ripper (extended rats version) - 10 minute duration/ Sure enough the telephone rings/ Notre dam/ Everyday is like sundae/ throwing my arms around paris

What do you guys think will be played during the two July shows? Will he make up for the YATQ cancellations and play songs off that album? New songs? Same setlist as usual…

Discuss….
I will see you in far off places/Irish blood, English heart/Do your best and don't worry/Black-eyed Susan/What kind of people live in these houses/Piccadilly palare/Istanbul/Mama lay softly on the river bed/These days (Nico cover)/Used to be a sweet boy/Shakespeare's sister/Roy's keen/Mute witness/Reader meet author/Sure Enough, TTR/Billy Budd ENCORE: Get off the stage/I Am Veronica/Handsome devil

same old then :D

I have a feeling he’s going to actually mix it up a bit, with a focus on songs from Beethoven.

Remember: the sets from 2022/2023 actually have roots back to his last Vegas residency in 2022, when that general structure was set. Obviously some songs have come and gone, but the overall flow has remained somewhat consistent since July 2022.

To return to Vegas with the same old same old would be a shame, especially with that statement he released.

I just don't see Morrissey playing a substantial chunk of 'Beethoven', despite the way these shows have been promoted. We'll get one or two songs from this album, but if 'Bonfire' really is getting closer to an actual release, this is probably what he's going to be focused on.

Playboys is long overdue a return, Interesting Drug would be a dream as well. Hairdresser on Fire, Lost, Why don't you find out for yourself, Sunny...

Sing your Life, Glamorous Glue and My Love Life were all absolute shouts as well.

Surely he's bored of singing those same songs now and even the yes men around him will understand the need to mix things up. Even Jack the Ripper one of his best songs can afford to go at this point :rat:

Jim Carrey Vomit GIF

The most recent live debut was Notre-Dayum. Let that sink in for a minute.

There's no shortage of good-to-great songs he could play. Before every tour we're optimistically discussing options... and then it's usually more of the same. "40 Years of Morrissey" is a perfect example. I'm not attending... but as a fan, I'm hoping if not a Beethoven-inspired set list then at least something fresh.

My setlist prediction: Morrissey walks onstage clutching a singed copy of the 'Beethoven' re-issue vinyl, which he tosses out to the crowd. He says 'I still cannot speak French', then the band kick into the fist song of the night - 'I'm Throwing My Arms Around Paris'. The album is not mentioned again. :p
