Carmen mentioning some new information?
Joe Chiccarelli at the helm?

The ’board she had with her for the interview was set up for her work with Morrissey, with whom she is recording an album.
“With Morrissey, I’m using a CV30 and a Supro. I used a lot of Supro on the Bones UK record.

There is also that solo album in progress: “Coming out in a few years, or whenever I’m ready.” And while working with Morrissey, she’s filling the giant shoes of not only Johnny Marr but also Morrissey alumni Jesse Tobias and Alain Whyte – while maintaining the same philosophy that propels Soft.
As she says of her performance on a new Morrissey song: “There’s a solo with this bum note. I played it over and over to make people believe that I did it on purpose. But I didn’t go and change it. I don’t want to change mistakes
anymore. That humanity – I miss it on records. So I want to keep it in there. I’m learning a lot, doing a record with Morrissey and Joe Chiccarelli, who’s an incredible producer. Again, just plenty of time to learn a bunch of things that I didn’t know before. Even just the way he writes in his melodies.”

FWD.

The big thing is referring to “Jessie Tobias” as Morrissey alumni which suggests he is out???
One can but hope. In vain.

That’s why someone else should do it. Someone who can objectively say which songs are good and which ones are shit.
I will do it. I don't automatically love a song because it's a Morrissey song. Songs I share with people, regardless of what band it's from are usually liked by those I share them with. I wouldn't just put 12 songs that I think are the best. I would put 12 songs together that have as much cohesion as possible from 3 completely different sessions. There would be at least 3 of tracks that are clearly viable singles and lyrical content would be the biggest tie-breaker between songs.

I know some of you out there think some of these bad songs are good and I will disappoint you by having them not even make it to b-side status but it's truly for the best. I will however make sure that all those tracks are released by SER on youtube as "lost tracks" which will all have about 193 views proving me right.

Don't feel sorry for Joe, he's getting paid regardless. It's probably a fun project for him, it doesn't matter if it gets released or not as Moz pays him upfront.
I doubt anyone is putting a gun to his head and forcing him to produce these albums. Blackmail maybe?

No, thanks. You’re too involved. It has to be someone whose salary/bonus relies on their artists having hits.

I don’t know you, but get the feeling you’d have Bonfire and Notre Dame as the lead singles.

I might just have to do it myself.

I am so tired of waiting to hear these completed yet unreleased Morrissey albums. It makes me crazier than I already am knowing these exist but that no one can listen to them, nor is there any promising news about these albums being available and forthcoming.

Therefore I cannot allow myself to feel much excitement at the prospect of Morrissey recording another album. It's depressing but sadly I've never been much of an optimist.

I hope I am wrong. These past five years have been the most difficult period of my life and I'd really love for all of these albums to be released in quick but realistic succession beginning in the extremely near future. Perhaps new Morrissey music could pull me out of the grave and make this skeleton dance.

I don't really much care how all three albums are finally granted to the public, whether they come out separately and in the order of when they were recorded, or if they are released all together in one set and are mixed and mashed together. The formate means little to me as I type these words.

At this point I just want to hear the damn songs. All of the them. Yesterday. Obviously I do have a preference on the way in which they should be released but I just want them out and available as soon as possible. Just do it! Phuck! :ahhh:

I feel you. I think as long as he has the creative inspiration he should keep recording music, while his voice and health are still good. Would suck for him not to record and years go by.. eventually we will hear these songs, I am sure

Calling Jesse Tobias an "alumni" in the article makes me hope he's no longer in the band but you just Know that ain't happening.

Everyone else goes off and work on other projects but no, not Jesse. He has to stick around Morrissey for-freakin'-ever. The weakest link in Morrissey's history just won't go away and we are all less for it.

With all this talk of 3 LPs I feel compelled to break confidence and reveal that I have it (from a source* very close to our Moz) that the 3 albums will indeed be released soon. One EP every two months. Each EP will feature two songs on side A with special etching on side B.

A series of concerts supporting the EPs is currently being scheduled to begin in December where one EP will be played per night. Two songs with an interval of 50 mins between songs to allow slack jawed attendees to pick their jaws back off the floor.

Each LP is extremely limited to 10 per customer, targeting the mid-range price of £35. Signed editions (Morrissey's name scratched on side B) will be available at the reasonable price of £350 (two for £699) - each signature will look slightly different and may not be in English.

* the baker who sells bread 🍞 to our Moz.

ND wouldn't even make it to b-side.

Bonfire would have a shot at b-side but would have to earn it.

Looking at the pages of photos and writing remind me of when Morrissey used to do interviews with the "Mainstream Media".

Happy days.

she rocks!

I always wished Little Barrie would've stuck around with Morrissey for longer. Instead Lumpy Jesse still seems to all over the music....and it shows.
