On top of that they make 90s people like me happy by releasing a CD single (!!!) with 3 versions + 2 new tracks. Because theay are still relevant and they CAN do it.
And they still have the attention to detail with their artwork and sleeves, something I wish Moz still had interest in.

One of the “goofy attention-whore twentysomethings” in the pictures is Finneas, Billie Eilish’s brother/producer/co-writer (Billie Eilish currently has 98 million monthly Spotify listeners— #3 in the world). If Morrissey gets invited to carouse with these people I don’t see why he should decline; it’s probably in his benefit to be there. Attending a party with the producer of the 3rd most listened to artist in the western world is a better use of his time than sitting around looking at the television in a 5* hotel room, and moping.

If Morrissey was there to chase yet more Midas touch hit-factory producers in the mold of Andrew Watt, couldn't he just get those connections through Watt, who he already knows? He's not a desperate unknown trying to press his demo tape into the palm of anyone in the record industry. I don't think he had to be at this party for any reason other than that he genuinely wanted to go.

Surprised people think this is a “rich elder gay” look. If you go to any street market in Athens where hobby artists sell you tacky, overpriced watercolor paintings of Santorini and Mykonos, they all have their shirts open and wear necklaces like that plus silver bracelets plus silver rings. And they’re not gay, and they’re not rich.

Maybe it's an American thing. I'm about twenty years out of touch, but for a long time here a popular "elder gay" look was open shirts and prominent jewelry. It was as if the 70s never ended and Eurotrash was the epitome of cool.

There aren’t any strict rules here, but I’d say the long hair and facial shrubbery on those two is more of a “flamboyant straight rocker” look if I thought it needed a category. This is probably an “I know it when I see it” thing.

Both men have longer hair, obviously wear stage outfits and are identified by their wild rock image. Depp (Or Jack) practically lives the pirate life. A comparison to Morrissey, that must fail at second glance.

Why is Morrissey trying to look sexually attractive, when he always has his assistant in tow? Questionable. Go west!

There is a difference between aging rocker who is not gay and Morrissey's attempts to look like one of the Village People. Steven Tyler also does the aging rocler thing.

I think his open shirts (now and then up to his belly button) have been questionable for at least 10 years, even in his increasingly rare TV appearances.
F.e. with Larry King.

What's the point?

Basically the same jewellery items are a-okay on some because Axl is a cool rocker and Johnny is literally a pirate, but it's more problematic with Morrissey because he shaves and travels with his PA. This is all really fascinating!
