David and Alexis Thurston mention interview with Morrissey in bed for forthcoming Sunset Marquis movie in their Instagram (post from May 2024)

Good to see dates in the calendar, that’s a more demanding tour schedule, should be a good test of reliability for the new band and with a push for bonfire let’s hope for a similar set of dates in Europe before Christmas or in the new year. Glad to see the US/Canadian fans are getting some shows though. Also not sure this has been posted here, not seen it myself just appeared on a google search, unusual place for an interview unless they were talking spent the day in bed, nice pyjamas though

Today we hung out with Morrissey on his bed while he was wearing his pajamas… is a sentence we never thought we would type. He was generous enough to give an amazing interview for the movie we’re producing. They say to never meet your heroes, but we’re so glad we did… as this charming man was so warm, kind, and eloquent. He is responsible for creating the music that’s probably the most meaningful to our lives since we were teenagers, both with his band The Smiths and as a solo musician. More details about our movie coming soon.

If you could hang out with a musician in their pajamas, who would it be?

I wonder what the book is.

Must have been his hotel residence at the time.

Edit: looks like their film is a 'rock documentary' about the Sunset Marquis hotel which is turning 60 years old.

So I presume the interview with Morrissey in bed was in his room at the Sunset Marquis (as he is one of the well known residents)

Very true but the Chelsea is so much more scandalous with the deaths of Sid and Nancy and Jobriath. Plus the current residents have so many stories to tell and are quite the characters themselves.
