A list of crimes

That haircut was definitely popular with rock stars in the late 70s/early 80s. David Johansen had it, Benjamin Orr did, so did Mick and Keith in the Start Me Up video. Girls has it too, like Chrissie Hynde. It's a shag.

I've always suspected that Morrissey is cock-eyed - one eye slightly turned in - and that he tries to avoid being photographed looking straight into the camera. The bottom of these two passport photos is an example of why I think he's cock-eyed. Maybe it's just an optical illusion created by the shape of his eyebrows. It's his left eye that I'm talking about (i.e. the eye on the right-hand side of the photo). The upper photo is too small to make out detail for comparison.
I noticed that, but didn't think it was unattractive. I'd put it down to wearing a close vision lens in the left eye and a distance in the right, but he didn't have contact lenses at the time of these photos, did he?

...because that's what's on his birth certificate and a passport must reflect the entries at birth.

...it's interesting that he obviously didn't adopt the garish stylistic excesses of Ye Olde Punk Rock. He looks like he could be a bass player in any number of bands of that time.

Punk rock was fun for about 6 weeks. Once the venerable Howard Devoto left Buzzcocks after 'Spiral Scratch' the morons ruined it all...

...it was very expensive to get to the United States of America in the 1970s. I flew there a few times with a few 'very naughty' Catholic priests...Loz Angeles. Boston. NYC. Frisco. New Orleans...on a Vatican 🇻🇦 passport but that's not pertinent to this fascinating story:

...how did Stevphen afford to get off to Colorado or whatever flyover nowheresville he thought was glamorous? I thought his mother was an impoverished part-time library assistant? 🤔

...very foolish to throw this in a skip, mt8...ring the passport office and they'll put a stop to this nonsense as the passport remains the property of The King Of England 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 in perpetuity. Perhaps you could ask around, see if Charles 111 can stick his fcukin oar in...?

whats the biggest expense in any holiday, hotels.
they were staying with family so would only have paid for frights, thought you as a well seasoned traveller would have known this.

It's still popular now where I live!

More likely to be an error, which I hope he has since corrected. If you check on FreeBMD (sad, I must find something useful to do today) it shows Steven. FreeBMD is a public site showing the records from England and Wales.

Moz made use of his luck in having relatives abroad who liked to have him visit. You read in lots of band biogs this access to the cooler side of the pond can be a real boost.

But, as iconic his is, quiff was also very popular and fashionable in the 80s, many peers of Morrissey sported it

Great pictures of the young Morrissey on that passport. Seriously though the best thing that the person touting should do is to return it to Morrissey. Whether it was taken by someone visiting the house in a medical or house clearance capacity is unclear but if it were so it would be seriously nasty. It should be returned.

So?

Hi, I am the Keith here.

I would like to clarify things here. Xavier posted this to inquire about selling, and since Xavier is a bit young (from what I understood), his mom is the one who managed the sale. I actually do not know the slang for recycling centers in the UK (for which I believe they used when they explained where they found this), and so I thought they meant that they found it in the trash (which is what I stated on my Reddit post). So I apologize for that mistake in miscommunication.
IT was found not we found. I am Nicolas partner and xavier is her son. We aquired this from someone who advertised it on his story saying he found it in a local recycling centre (where in the UK we can fill our cars and drive to recycle things like if we was doing a house clear out or garage etc) xavier then posted it online to find out possibly how much it might be worth. Since the post has come about saying it was stolen from his late mother we are trying to do the right thing and give it back. But finding someone to contact is becoming quite hard.

So, the top photo (of "the bearer") is when the passport was issued in 1973, and Mozz was 14. The "wife" photo was added in May 1976 ("Recent photograph of the bearer"), and then the stripy shirt one added in July 1978 (ditto, page 9), when the passport was renewed for another 5 years.

That must have been how things were done in the 70s. These days kids just have the same photo for 5 years, even though they look nothing like that after that time has passed. That's progress!
