Many thanks to my lovely wife Lyn who came to my rescue on many an occasion and helped me make those important tough decisions

Dedicated to the memories of Melanie, who passed away soon after sending me her vocals, and Charlie Browne, my old tour manager, the reason we moved to Portugal in the first place.

Not enough thanks can be given to Morrissey, without whom none of the would have happened.

Lolzapaloopa!

Wot a fcukin car-crash! Inadvertently hilarious, camp as Christmas- would make a great soundtrack for a 2024 'reimagining' of 'Crossroads' ...just needs Meg Richardson, Benny and Huwie on backing vocals...

...wtf!...having spent decades trundling the world serving Dad Rock-abilly by numbers in service of Morrissey's overweening ambition to make it Bigly In America, we now get this fcukin dog's dinner of nonsense.

It's the kind of audio diarrhea you hear at Moseley Folk Festival with pasty whey faced public sector drones vibing to some silly multiculturalism muzak by the likes of The Levellers. God, they were fcukin awful on Friday night...

If Morrissey repents of his For Britain sins he can sheepishly redeem himself by playing these 'contemporary' versions to show he 'gets it' and he won't say anything 'inappropriate' about immigration or Islamism again. Jess Philips can introduce him.

He could even wear a dreadlocks weave or a 2-Tone ska outfit and 'toast' over his self-karaoke.

The Melanie version of 'Ouija Board ' is absolute comedy gold. I can't wait to spin this on the decks at Malvern Cube when it's closing time and we need to sweep the hippy dross back up to their yurts in West Malvern...

...jayzuz...what an audio abortion...to be a fly on the wall as Stevphen grimaces and smiles wanly at the album release party at Rough Trade East...

They say laughter is the best medicine...tanx Dr Boz!

Kind regards

B10 BrummieBoy

Pity poor Morrissey...he thought he was being edgy using a Ouija Board but he summoned me-his Internet Demon 😈 who destroyed his career and legacy...Stephen: fcukd around and found out...lolzapaloopa!

These aren’t good covers imho. The exception is his It Really So Strange. Funny chicken and done well by the singer / guitarist. It’s a rockabilly on what’s already a jangly tune and I think it fits. But again the others… forgettable, unfortunately.

In the World of Morrissey Boz is basically a musical god. He's cowritten some of my favorite songs of all time, and gave new life to Morrissey when he needed it. He has my respect forever, a "lifetime pass."

That being said, there are some artists that I just don't think make sense to cover because they are so idiosyncratic. Morrissey Without Morrissey just doesn't appeal to me. It just makes no sense to me.

The sound of this album feels very harsh and digital and processed to me, and that just is not really my kind of music. I like Boz when he's rocking and rolling. I'm not sure what this is. Like weird club remixes of Morrissey songs. I personally don't see what there is to enjoy here. Sounds like he had fun making this though.

What I find puzzling is that this is not just a collection of Boz's Morrissey songs, but even some from The Smiths. Weird. It's good to be unpredictable, but I think it would make more sense for it to be the songs Boz takes some literal ownership in as a co-author.
I can't believe how bad this is..............I mean..........it's really awful apart from a few tracks. Boz should be embarrassed by this nonsense.
Boz has never been a musical God. At least Not to any of the people I know in M world
He is a musical talent but in no way WAs he and AW up there with Marr or Street
Its funny both he and AW have really carried on learning Into M to make coin
I think Boz was actually freinds with M
I dont think the test of the band were

Did anyone ever see the M and Spencer photo shoot?
