I can only imagine that those moaning about this setlist will moan about any setlist that they haven’t personally curated.

That band, however, are just not very good. Some of you are clamouring for two albums worth of unreleased music from this lot?
no. as someone who has seen him almost 20 times live since 1997, this set list is very dull.

but i do have a bias in that i don’t care for Quarry much at all (unlistenable production and the decent songs have been over played through the years) and i don’t like Ringleader outside of Pigsty — i also only really like Mama and OK by Myself from Refusal.

in short: outside of Bigmouth, Fatty and Why Don’t You, the only true highlights of this set list are the classic songs that he has played into the ground for the last 10+ years and the rest are boring tracks and b-sides from his over-hyped “return” years albums.

Curious. What do you want to see in the setlist?
EVERYONE should want a well balanced set list that covers all aspects of his career.

Did I mention he looks like a retired accountant from middle America going to enjoy brunch with his wife of 42 years, Janet. He looks oddly at ease with old age. No danger, no rebellion, in a way he seems less pressured, knowing he doesn't have to compete with anyone anymore.
No rebellion, really? Morrissey not rebellious enough for you?

$25 per drink??! Oh my sweet baby Jesus Lord almighty God save me please save me now...

I probably won't be having a drink, but PANIC sounds so goooood.
$25 a drink, whos the biggest crook, the guys who stick a gun in a tellers face or the guy who opens the shutters to the bar in these venues.

How would you like him to rebel on stage exactly? given that he's 65 years old and not Marilyn Manson.

Agreed 1000%

Moz sings what's in his heart at the current moment in time, maybe he must please himself to give it his all. This isn't the Taylor Swift "eras tour".
Agreed 7000%

splurge a little, lose a little, but more importantly… live a little.

N.b., Jesse is the only member of the current live band to play on those albums.

Merch? I'm waiting for the Moz steak knife set to make its appearance. And the Moz egg cup set. And the Moz fish turner. Then I'll be a happy punter. I'm not interested in his t shirts with his younger self on (as I wear thermal long sleeve shirts now) or caps with his name on (as my old flat cap does the trick). Rant over.
Yes, caps to hide the bald patches.

All in all I would say this was a good re-entry into live performance. Newer songs, strong voice and presence. The band needs some tuning definitely. Excited for the rest of the shows

All grown up - the crystals
