I don’t think it really matters.Whether or not he thought he looked "good" is irrelevant. You simply cannot attach photos to a release that don't coincide! It is preposterous to think you can, It is insane. It renders the re-release unbuyable because it is not an accurate document of that time period. I am embarrassed for Morrissey, he seems to enjoy destroying his legacy.
A true fan could not like a photo attached to a performance that occurred 14 years earlier. Impossible.
I agree it’s unusual, but I wouldn’t worry about it too much.Name another major (or minor) artist who has released a live album with a photo not even within 10 years of that particular performance. It is unprecedented. So for anyone who thinks we are just picking on Morrissey, I think we would be doing the same thing with any artist, if they had the audacity to make such a blunder. Thankfully, I don't believe any other artist has done such a bone headed thing. Prove me wrong.
Hi - I have a copy of Peepholism. I love it. Got it for a 21st birthday present nearly 30 years ago now. Still looks great.Sad beyond words from somebody whose band "The Smiths"'s singles, lps, etc. had the most, original, memorable and brilliant artwork ever seen.. Right out of the gate as a solo artist the artwork of Morrissey's solo output continued that tradition. Just peruse a copy of "Peepholism" if you can find one, to see just how far from that things have become. This "BWD" cover is an abomination.

unprecedented? Morrissey?! never. He does exactly what other artists do. Never a troublemaker, always predictable, never original, just like the rest.
But what do I know? I’m not a ‘true fan’ like Phranco, Gaylo and you.![]()
It makes me so mad. It is a slap in the face, it is so disrespectful to his fans.I agree it’s unusual, but I wouldn’t worry about it too much.
In 100 years from now when we're all dead, some music fan is going to come across that rare artifact and think to themself, hmm, 1992, let me do some math... I would have thought he would have looked much younger!I agree it’s unusual, but I wouldn’t worry about it too much.

I don’t feel that at all. And I’m a big fan.It makes me so mad. It is a slap in the face, it is so disrespectful to his fans
But you got the gist of those unreleased albums. Do you honestly think they're going to be good? If you do, I think you are in denial. Maybe you're thinking a garbage Morrissey album is still worthwhile, because I think we know...I don’t feel that at all. And I’m a big fan.
I’m much more upset by there being two unreleased albums I can’t hear.

Of course you’re a true fan and I’m sure Morrissey will post something on Central if you pass before him.
I know right! I love sarcasm. Very underrated comedy device. Good stuff. They are coming and they will be great![]()
