It is a little off topic but yes we have had a lot come out of the vault. I speak of LPs as I am a vinyl collector but the big box "Sign of the Times" had 13 LPs - 6 of which are unreleased Vault Tracks and the Diamonds & Pearls box set had 12 LPS - 5 of which were also vault tracks. The 1999 Box set was 10 LPs with 2 LPs of Vault tracks from those sessions. There have also been stand alone releases from the Vault as well. All of these Vault tracks have been fully completed albums and songs, so has been like getting new albums.
Over the last few years Gordy the prince estate has been re releasing lps like 1999 and sign o the times in huge box sets with 12, 13 vinyl lps usually with loads of stuff from the vault. These aren't dodgy demos they are fully recorded songs, you hear them and think why didn't he release them at the time? But I'm sure Warners wouldn't have let him. The bloke was a genius music machine. These vault songs will probably still be being released when we are long gone.
